I'm complaining about the CONSTANT mess. IK it's a family drama and I'm ready for all the sadness they throw at me but like 95% of it is depressing while we get only a few short, scattered happy scenes. They just never get a break.

I will really smash my head through a wall sometime soon -_-

Watched Ep23 and even I have no idea why he was so angry. I understood that Chenggang was fired from the military for misconduct because he caused an accident, but I didn't understand why YC threatens him with "If you do it again".... wHAT did he do??!

yes... and now we also know that the baby is Qiqi's and Qiqi is gonna raise her himself

Why does everyone think down-to-earth/realistic equals sadness? Sure, there's sadness. But there IS also happiness in everyday life. We humans cry and go through pain, but we also live, laugh and love. They always make the happy scenes so short or interrupt them while the sad scenes take AGES to get over with... a smile on the face of a character is so rare to see! And forget about a laugh -_-

I LOVE Yicheng's friend! I seriously want him as a son-in-law but both girls are taken 😂 I'm sure he set Yicheng up with that childhood friend of his 😂 At last, I see a light at the end of Yicheng's long, dark tunnel.

I also think giving the child to the cousin is the right thing to do but it doesn't look like that'll happen

oh my heart bleeds for Qiqi :( I wonder how he's gonna raise his daughter...
And I'm ready to kill Chenggang anytime if he doesn't treat her well. I know Simei set herself up but her courage, innocence and tenacity just make me love her.

Just got done with Ep 23 and 24... I got SO ANGRY with Xiaomo WOW my blood was boiling! Three divorces in two episodes. But I'm actually feeling good about it. What is wrong with these unrepentant, I-want-to-be-happy-and-treated-well-with-zero-responsibilities-or-respect-for-other-people's-feelings women??!! I hate both Yicheng and Qiqi's ex-wives' stupid, insolent smiles so much! I am so glad Qiqi at least took a stand when it came to keeping his daughter. I want him to be happy and smile freely for once! I felt so good when he finally showed some anger and got his way. Even though I hate his MIL, I'm glad she took his side instead of her daughter's.

I can’t feel any anger towards Yicheng because, honestly, he’s going through non-stop hell. He keeps having to move from one sibling to another, trying to be there for them or fix their problems. He’s the only one who blatantly talks back to dad… and dad is scared of only him. I know he’s hurting watching his siblings’ babies and suddenly getting a divorce by EMAIL, for goodness’ sake. Breaking up by text is bad as it is, sending a DIVORCE by email and still having the audacity to say “Don’t forget me” is pure evil. 😡
I literally started screaming with joy and partying in my head when Xiang walked into the room. I will forever be indebted to Yicheng’s friend. He is AMAZING. What a wonderful friend.

When I watch Simei's tenacity, loyalty and courage, I can't help but hope for her complete happiness. I really really hope Chenggang is a good guy and that Simei's pregnancy will go well. The end credits preview is scaring me. I don't want to see Simei cry.

I don't think putting the blame on Sanli for bringing the dad is correct. I think she just brought him to her wedding hall. He would obviously come back home even without Sanli. Where else would he freeload, beg for money from his hardworking kids and waste time other than in his own house?

Sanli-Yiding... they're my favorites no matter what. I'm glad they still love each other. Except for being a pushover with his mom, Yiding is perfect. I love how he knows how to make Sanli laugh, she's so bright and happy when he plays around with her. And I love how he always looks for her first, before his mom or son. I wanted to strangle the dad when he walked in and interrupted that little time where they were laughing together. 😡 But of course our meanie writers won't let us have happiness for very long. It's like they can't stop inventing new nonsense to put my poor babies through. My heart literally DROPPED when I heard about Yiding’s accident. Poor Sanli was so broken and I love how the entire family grouped together and took care of him. Of course MIL and BIL did nothing whatsoever. 🙄

Also, why was there no clarification of Erqiang's relationship? We just see happy Master Ma help with Yiding in the hospital 🤔 Are we supposed to assume they're married now?

I FEEL LIKE A PROUD GRANDMA! Sanli and her son are okay 🥰🥰 But I really want to hug Yicheng... it must hurt to see two of his siblings with children :(

Qiqi's wife doesn't seem to care at all for the child so I wonder what will happen. I'm glad both babies are healthy.

I'm focusing on the good parts, and I wish all happiness for Simei no matter what. I want to see what Master Ma has to say about this marrying business. So far it's just Erqiang who keeps expressing his love.

I'm watching a light drama on the side {Police University} to counter it because this drama EXHAUSTS me sometimes

You're probably right about Yiding :( I'm hoping for some character development there...
But right now I am so worried about Sanli and Chenggang 😭😭 He's shown concern for her only ONCE in all the time we've seen him. And that once is counting him saying "Be careful" when she trips 🙄 I really really want this to work but -_-

AND I'm fuming over that witch Xiaomo.... and for the first time in the whole drama I'm scared of Weiming 😳 He was ANGRY

lol I disagree strongly. Every time his aunt encounters problems with him, she dumps all the responsibility on Yicheng. She's raised him since he was a baby but doesn't even seem to love him.
Only his older cousin has a good relationship with him and treats him like his son.

I meant the entire madness at the skating rink of Xiaomo yelling and screaming and accusing Erqiang of having an affair, Master Ma slapping him, then getting pushed by Xiaomo...

I love this drama mainly because it's so easy to watch and the comedic timing and banter among characters is really, really good. I love the 24/7-annoyed-at-the-world-in-general-but-a-big-fluffy-marshmallow detective 😂 And the bromance is so on point!

Of course I would find it boring if I came for mystery or crime-solving, but the drama so obviously does not take itself seriously at all. Just look at the drama's poster— BRIGHT YELLOW is NOT used for a crime/mystery thriller! From the very first episode, the writers let you know thathe entire thing is made for comedy. The characters will be pretty stupid, that's the whole point. Dialogues are good with no unnecessary melodrama. I love that most of the comedy is done WITHOUT embarrassing, hurting or lowering the dignity of the characters. I nearly died laughing in Episode 6, that one was GOOD.

None of the characters are getting on my nerves, which is another plus point. I'm watching a very angsty drama at the same time, so I love how light and fun this is. I find myself waiting for the cliches and enjoying their execution thoroughly. The editing is also so much fun!
