It honestly looks that way... they're giving each character like two episodes of back-story and STILL not done with the main cast!

I mean... its kinda a given when you make a drama about a life-threatening occupation... i ahould feel lucky as long as its not the main leads or a very very beloved character

I so agree!!!! The first 6-7 epipsdes weren't totally convincing for me, but the premise and concept(and my unwavering trust in Han Hyo Joo's project choices) kept me going... and OH. MY. GOODNESS. The parents' arc brought a WHOLE new level of AWESOME to the show. The actors are mesmerizing and magnetic... I couldn't take my eyes off, couldn't touch the fast-forward button, couldn't shake off the sense of being absolutely blown away - especially with Ep 9's ending 😭

I have to say, though... the eng subs didnt give justice to HHJ's ending dialogue 😭 "All the stuff he said for fun... it was actually the truth. No... it was love." 😭😭😭 the TEARS

Can someone tell me if the plot moves faster after some time? I'm on Ep 5 and it's just so frustratingly slow. I love the premise and everything but UGH the same guy kills multiple people for the same reason and the "good guys" have still done absolutely nothing, and continue to take care of their little businesses and kids while watching the news. The same two characters hang out for way too much time and they dont even try to answer any questions or peoperly introduce the people I'm dying to know about(case in point: class president boy) but keep adding more and more characters I should be curious about!

For a short low budget drama, they really had good comedic timing. I had fun lol

Youre right, i guess the only one that really fits your requirements is A Warmed Up Love... the ML and SFL have a whole dating arc before stuff happens and he realizes his feelings. Probably a big reason i hated the drama XD couldnt bear watching the two of them get along so well

Interesting question... though the triangles aren't long-drawn, i remember
1. Pinocchio - SFL is silly but she's ML's reporter buddy throughout, even after developing feelings for him. But its not shown in a sentimental way...
2. Dr. Romantic both characters who had crushes on the ML and FL respectively were very nice people. But again, not long drawn
3. Go Ahead - SFL is FL's bff and is a pretty nice character throughout... she carries her one-sided love from the time they were high school students and supports ML in whatever way she can. Don't remember her being toxic, she does have a fallout with the FL but they all regain their friendship in the end
4. It Started With a Kiss - the rich SFL girl was so nice to let ML go and shield him from her grandfather when ML chose FL instead. The other SFL was petty and annoying but she recognized when it was time to give up and respect herself. Not a terrible character, all in all
5. A Warmed Up Love - SFL(ML's ex) almost too good to believe, both SML and SFL mostly very nice ppl. So nice to the point that it was uncomfortable to watch them get along so well with each other lol
6. Perfect and Casual - SFL was a pretty nice character(ML's ex) though she doesn't hang around for very long
7. Sh**ting Stars - cute SFL who is a big fangirl of the ML till the end, supports him in whatever way she can

Yeah i think that's all i can drag out of my watchlist XD hope you havent watched it all

The ML's first dog did die but that happens before the story starts. The dog in the poster and all the other rescue dogs live happily ever after and none were harmed(except one, but he gets back to normal after treatment)

then have you watched You are My Hero? ML is a SWAT officer, not a fireman, but he has the same sort of camaraderie with his teammates...

I thought she was smarter and more mature than 95% of Cdramaland FLs. She doesn't let her colleagues bully her, she isn't rude or moody or mean to anyone, she stands up to her parents, she knows how to apologize when she's wrong, she truly cares about her work, she's supportive, loyal and expressive towards the ML, she willingly gives up her pet dog to the service, she doesn't let ML live in noble idiocy, she does whatever she can do to fight during fight scenes, she draws clear boundaries with the SML, doesn't yoyo between SML and ML but makes her love clear as day for everyone, speaks her mind clearly instead of playing games most of the time... even though she can be impulsive at times, I think she's one of the most adorably cool FLs ever.

I mean, they literally had it all. They created a million opportunities for a lovely, meaningful ending. He could have composed a song to her heartbeat and given it to her, like a confession. She/He could have bridged the 90-degree angle they sleep at, at twilight. He could have asked her out when she said goodbye at the window, to commemorate the way they met. She could have just gone to his room the day he was leaving instead of making the stupid assumption that he was sleeping. They could have erased that SFL and let him pick up the call. One "I want you" and he'd have come running. She could have gone to his apartment with the bean bag to throw at him lol. SO many missed opportunities for that lukewarm ending.

Started out soooo well and then just petered out towards the end. They should have just ended it when they held each other's hands at twilight or at least given them a decently satisfying ending. Writers dragged it out with such close misses that made me so FURIOUS the ending just didn't suffice... with the way they set up all those meaningful scenes, you'd think they'd at least use them - felt like the writers changed hands in the last three eps.
Sad that such a good drama with a wonderful cast, beautiful OST and huge potential had to disappoint like this.

how is this related to Go Princess Go in terms of the storyline? Are they related?

Zhang Jing Yi picks such good dramas... can't wait!!
