depends on what you call good. it's too early to judge but I liked it so far... i like the cast, the comedy, and the main leads have awesome chemistry even though all they do is bicker
He's best at romcoms, IMO - his roles in 18 Again and Thirty But Seventeen were HILARIOUS... I miss his comedic timing and range of expressions so muchhh
I'm loving this trope where the couple have history with each other. either married or they're divorced or broken…
ikrrrrrr we're past all the initial fall in love at first sight and shallow unicorns and rainbows fluff - second chance dramas are always so deep and warm
Jang Seung Jo in a second chance law drama? Christmas has come early!! XDDD and it's still January LOVED his role in Familiar Wife(another second chance drama) so here's hoping this will be awesome!
Love this article! I like watching older people in dramas, so you've given me a lot of dramas to add to my list! Movie recc: Salut D'Amor - a movie about an elderly couple's romance 😭❤️
SO many great lines!! Historical dramas always have a way of making everything so profound and deep 😭 Call me heartless but Run Yu always rubbed me the wrong way. Yeah sure, I felt sorry about his biological mom and all the torture he went through, but he still had a choice in the end. He chose the wrong path, forced himself on FL, kept trying to take away her choices, used emotional blackmail and gaslighting like a PRO, and acted like a huge pity-seeking, terribly manipulative jerk. He used and milked his sob story for all it was worth and that just made me despise him. I won't spoil but there was one thing he did after the 35-ep mark that was the LAST STRAW because it technically reset the whole point of the drama and threw the whole plot into a tragic spiral, setting the stage for one of the biggest, most painful betrayal scenes I have ever seen. I hated Run Yu with a FIRE after that. You don't have an excuse to inflict pain and manipulate people who trust and love you just because you had a bad past. I won't deny that he did love Jin Mi but the way he chose to act on it was obsessive and degraded Jin Mi as a person. At some point I wondered whether he did things because he liked her or because he just wanted to one-up his brother by showing off Jin Mi as a trophy
Sorry for the rant. Run Yu triggers me like no other character.
also thanks for making me tear up over the gif of LBFD. Love them sooooo muchh not many people talk about Under the Power... such a loverly power couple!
DFQC as a character is cool on his own, but Orchid is the one who truly brought out Dylan's acting range and DFQC's full potential as a character. The baby voice did bother me but it really isn't worth getting hung up on when the character as a whole was developed well. The body swap scenes wouldn't have been so side-splittingly hilarious if Esther had made Orchid more moderate/demure/whatever y'all want. She played her role extremely well, innocent, silly and adorable, slowly growing up and maturing into the elegant Moon Queen. DQFC's character needed someone to be spontaneous, wearing her heart on her sleeve. You can totally see why he fell for her(this is a pet peeve I have with some dramas - they never really show us WHY such a cold and villlainy tsundere falls for the FL). I really really loved the way she earned the respect and loyalty of the Moon Tribe. After she fell for him, she makes it clear that she does like him (another thing FLs almost never do well) and takes his side even when she doesn't understand things.
The drama wouldn't be what it is without Esther, period.
I really really liked this one. I loved the found family vibes, especially all the people around ML. It was so nice to see that they all loved him and stood by him through it all - the workplace was so friendly and protective! I loved how both leads showed their love for each other - they were soooo adorable swooning over each other!!! 🥰🥰
Hey can anyone recommend series like this in which it focuses more on the couple's life after marriage
1. Tomorrow With You (K) 2. Marry me!/Marimi(JP) 3. Yangotonaki ichizoku/Involvement in family Affairs(JP) 4. Familiar Wife(K) - more of a second-chance time travel drama but it feels like theyre married because they WERE married lol 5. A Familiar Stranger(C)
I collect dramas like these because i love the life after marriage plotline... Heres the list: https://kisskh.at/list/1XzErAw3
If they chose an actor who looked more like a teen, we wouldnt have gotten that absolute masterpiece of a Season 2 lol no one but Joe Cheng could give life, warmth and a whole range of carefully done microexpressions to a tsundere character like Zhi Shu
2. Go Back Couple
3. 18 Again
LOVED his role in Familiar Wife(another second chance drama) so here's hoping this will be awesome!
agh i love the male lead's nose 🙈😭
