Because she loved and trusted her siblings, in her eyes thy were her only family and she couldnt be separated…
1. Eldest bro Yicheng - cant remember the name but it was his student, then Xiaolang, then finally Nanfang 2. Second bro Erqiang - xiaomo, then his boss Ma Suqin 3. Third sister Sanli - Yiding 🥰♥️♥️ 4. Fourth sis Simei - soldier guy Chenggang 5. Fifth bro Qiqi - Ling Zi watched it very long ago so i cant remember LOL
one of the best shows I've ever watched tho I have so many questions. The main one being The Ma Rin of the future…
I dont think theyre parallel dimansions... the So Joon of the future is the same as the So Joon of the present. Came to this conclusion because future Ma Rin remembers being with So Joon and any changes that happen in the present affect the future. So the future is more of a "what would have been" if So Joon hadnt changed things. Its all the same world in different timelines ig
I have yet to watch TD, but this drama is/was the first where i came across Lee Je Hoon and i am super impressed…
Have you watched TD et? I watched both this one and Movr to Heaven because i am in LOVE with this man and his acting 😭😭😭 but TD is rated R so im a little cautious since i cant stomach too much graphic violence
Ahn Hyo Seop (A Business Proposal) vs. Bie Thassapak Hsu (My Girlfriend Is an Alien)...I stopped here. So many…
Loll i never realized how similar they are!! I thought Ahn Hyo Seop used ML from Whats Wrong With Secretary Kim as his acting model, because he kept reminding me of Park seo joon
If not for the other characters occupying a lot of airtime I would give this a 10. the ending was nicely wrapped…
Love Between fairy & Devil was AWESOME Love & Destiny is another good one - unless you have something against older actors. ML was the most realistic God of War ever but ik some people just like younger smooth-faced actors
I know the other person reccomended itazura no kiss but i watched the anime and read the manga for it and it's…
the Taiwanese version is wayyyyyy better - i didn't think I'd get so addicted to it XD for starters, the ML is a whole lot more expressive than any of the other MLs. i actually understood why someone like him would fall for someone like her lol
You Are My Hero is my FAVORITE drama it's just so goooooood!!
Don't get me wrong, I really really loved Jian Jian and Ling Xiao in Go Ahead - shipped them with my whole heart since they were kids - but idk if it counts as a "healthy relationship." Open to discussion but the entire I-need-you-to-stay-sane arc seemed a little messed up and I wouldn't really recommend that as a healthy relationship drama but whatever it is, I loved both of them lots. They had amazing chemistry and you could see their relationship wasn't purely sibling energy from the very beginning. I just couldn't and wouldn't have SLS
awww this is such a great article!! Yes, the dads in Go Ahead and Healer were just so awesome ❤️ and ML in 18 Again had me crying in every single episode as he struggles to be a teenage dad and mends his relationship with his own dad. And I loved FL's father in Extraordinary Attorney Woo.
The absence of older classic dramas really makes this pretty unreliable, though the project was a nice idea. Since MDL users were given only one vote, I feel like they just voted for the last drama that wowed them and not necessarily the BOTB drama they've watched. Personally, I think MDL's "Most Popular Shows" & "Top Rated Dramas" lists shows which dramas are the BOTB quite accurately because it uses all MDL user data to display results. Of course, both have their faults - Kdramas take a GIANT lead in the "Most Popular Shows," with a non-Korean drama(Love O2O, of all things +_+) appearing only after 52 whole kdramas lol.
This reminded me a lot of Suspicious Partner - chaotic unhinged on-fire-for-justice empathetic and straightforward/blunt FL whose father was wrongly punished and its ML's prosecutor father's fault. Therefore, FL wants to take care of all the poor and downtrodden without caring about money. I kept seeing Nam Ji Hyun in Lee Se Young's facial expressions. Straight-laced traditional practical prosecutor-turned-lawyer ML who loses it every two minutes because of chaotic FL. Both dramas have hilarious mothers and chaotic supporting cast families. They also have similar older character duos - the two ahjummas in Law Cafe and the Investigator Bang-ML's adoptive father duo in Suspicious Partner(both ahjussis are seasoned comedy actors so I enjoyed them a teeny bit more). Suspicious Partner will always be a classic favorite and had a pretty seasoned cast, but this one was pretty good too. FL was definitely better styled in Law Cafe tho lol
How's the romance and chemistry? Any love triangles? When do the leads become a real couple? Any break ups?
one thing that always make me return to this drama was the respect they have for each other. she respects his IQ and he respects her EQ, which is why its not weird or awkward even though they're supposedly teacher and student. He never makes her feel stupid or lesser than him because he truly does respect her for who she is. And she's a total sweetheart GOODNESS THE BUTTERFLIES - there's this scene where he asks for consent to hold her and i nearly died(yes, i have the hugest crush on Miles Wei XD)
Loved this show. It aimed to be a "modern day fairytale" while also moving things along in a satirical way that took subtle jabs sprinkled with comedy at societal problems, lowering the entire melodrama quotient. At their cores. the characters were real humans, but the writers chose to add a layer of unreal quirks to them, IMO, in an effort to lighten the show and make it thought-provoking instead of preachy and judgmental. They all reach points of vulnerability and seriousness in their arcs -- and then rocket back to unbelievable(except for the main leads). I thought the dialogue and plot progression was very cleverly done.
I LOVED the main leads. Sato wasn't the typical doormat, nor was she the typical rude idiot using "badass" as an excuse. She was strong from within, and knew when to compromise and when not to. I love her dialogues - she's respectful and kind but also stands up and directly addresses people's mistakes and prejudices, elders or not. I ADORED Miyama Kenta. Confrontation isn't his strong suite, so I love how unconditionally he supports Sato whenever she stands up to confront something wrong in the family. I also like that Sato totally knew what his family was like and chose to take them up as a challenge, instead of being the usual surprised lamb-led-to-the-slaughter FL. Their chemistry was soooooooo cute, a big reason why I managed to get through the gritty, frustrating parts of the show.
