what is considered the previous show? is it one of the more recent series?

do i need to watch other fox spirit matchmaker series before this one?

This is my first time seeing this actress in a drama and she's too good of an actress to be appearing in this drama. She's incredibly talented. He's also doing great. I have only seen him in Blood of Youth so I was not expecting him to have this range. I think he does better in this kind of role. Coming from watching Love in the Clouds, the skill level of an actor really can be felt. It feels like switching from Off-Broadway to On Broadway, ya know? These two are great and even though the drama is a bit silly they're keeping me immersed in the story. They are carrying this way more than the plot is and I'm here for it. This reminds me a lot of Jun Jiu Ling and I love that drama the most. Green flags all around. Are there any of their other dramas that are must-see? Taking recs!

wow unexpectedly late. i was hoping you were gonna tell me it was later in this episode. oh well i guess it's better to have my expectations set! thank you!

ya'll in what episode does she confirm her identity to him? i'm on 14.

i have no problem with slice of life but i have to be in the mood for that kind of thing and right now i'm in the mood for plot so i'll come back at some point. thank you for clarifying!

to be clear i don't need there to be a specific type of plot but so far it'.s been 13 eps and it's just a monster per episode and doesn't seem to be leading anywhere.

so is the answer then never? there's no overarching plot to the story at any point?

can you tell me if the plot ever picks up? i'm really bored. i want to like it i love TXW but so far i'm 13 eps in and nothing has happened.

ya'll i am 13 episodes in and i can't decide if i need to drop this. an 8.2 is a decent rating. does this show ever have a plot? i'm so confused why the rating is so high. i love FL and ML is kinda boring but the plot just doesn't exist. nothing has happened in 13 episodes. how are there 25 more? please tell me it gets better. and if so when. otherwise imma move on.

somehow that doesn't feel like an answer haha

happy ending?

seen it! so good. definitely the vibe I’m looking for tho!

ya'll i need to know what to watch next cause this is so good but i'm almost done. i don't love sadness so if i want to watch some more xianxia or wuxia or even just historical what should i watch next?!

does this have a happy ending?

i just want to say i'm 22 eps in and it's been a long time since i've been this invested in a drama. if sima jiao is never free of pain then i'm climbing inside this story to save him myself!

this is hands down the darkest villain plot i've ever seen in definitely a drama potentially ever? the casual cannibalism is wild. glad they don't show anything but the fact that nobody thinks their behavior is wrong is wild.

ya'll i love when they film these c-dramas in the dead of winter but they don't do the ice cube thing so you can just see their breaths and how hard it is to talk because their mouths are frozen and the plot is in the dead of spring. maybe it's cause i'm from wisconsin but it is TOO funny to me every time. why they don't heat these places for the actors is crazy tho!

I know he just became gao Han I was so suprised!

ya'll does the snake die? i am attached!
