i'd agree with all of you if we weren't 18 episodes in and she had changed her behavior. it's been too long to excuse it for me. but it's not like i'm not enjoying it at all. i just can't really understand her behavior.

Liu Yuning is so good at acting. When he threw the book you could immediately see the regret in his eyes when he let it burn. I'm rooting for this to turn into a bromance. these kids should stop fighting.

I'm trying to like the female lead but I genuinely don't think she's a good person. Like I get that she wants to live but she treats everyone like a plaything just bc she's inside the script and i can't understand it. I mean she's got nothing on that psycho of an emperor but still. I don't even know why nan heng likes her.

the emperor sucks. he HATES his own son who was a child when the empress died. crazy adult behavior. crazy emperor behavior. no wonder nan heng grew up the way he did. insane.

In ep 9 the way nan heng is different in their fantasies is peak acting. I love Liu Yuning so much. He is beyond talented. Truly the ML of my heart.

Wei shaos character growth is no joke. the way he chooses to heal himself so he can be a person who can love whole heartedly is incredibly adorable. he forgave in ways I am learning from.
