i hear that you don't want to believe he is that kind of person and you're only evidence of that is that you don't believe there'e sufficient evidence of her claims. but there is evidence of her claims. whether it's sufficient to make you believe her or not is irrelevant bc nothing can be proven now. what you need to do is look inside yourself and ask yourself why you feel the need to defend an innocent person in the first place. if you are confident at his innocence why you are grasping at details like the date of her reported death being different than her time of death? that's desperation. that's you wanting to see holes in the story. that doesn't make them real. are you claiming the government conspired to fake the time of her death to make KSH look bad? the fact that you have to convince yourself that xyz isn't enough information is evidence you know that he is guilty and you just want to believe he isn't. either that or you are enjoying upsetting people here by defending these crimes. either way it has nothing to do with the facts of the situation and everything to do with your own personal inability to come to terms with the real facts of this situation. this is not a conspiracy. this is a tragedy with a real victim and an even more real perpetrator with a suspicious dating history with the minor victim. like stop gaslighting this comment section into believing you actually align with the things you are claiming. you just want to believe the world is not this type of place but i hate to break it to you. it very much is. look inside yourself and ask yourself who you want the next young actress to work with. it's not the one 15 yrs older than her that's gonna take her to bed. that should be enough for you to stop supporting men like this. if that's not all it takes then go inwards. stop blaming others for being able to face it head on. stop looking for holes in the story and look at the story for what it is. the details are there. the evidence is there. look straight at it.

the fact that he didn't succeed with victim shaming her or covering it up with his fake girlfriend so now he's trying to blame the ceo. he can keep trying. but everyone sees who is at fault and it's the predator.

oh no i was just referring to the fact that he was serving the person who abused him in the first place when they ran into him in shenjing i was like finally they're gonna tell him! and they had that dramatic interaction between the three generals and they didn't say anything! i've been waiting the whole series since she told NF to tell XWR and they never did and then he died serving the person who had lied to him the whole time. i was so upset. it felt like a huge plothole to me.

i finished the series and at no point do they tell him that he was the one who ran the death camp and that xia jingshi didn't rescue them instead he pretended to after raising them to be assassins. i was so furious they never told him the truth and then he died. i was so excited the whole series waiting for him to find out after they reunited! what do you mean he knew? is that how it is in the novel? did i miss a part in the series?

ya'll i need recs. i don't need the plot to be the same just the pacing and plot level. for reference, something with the pacing of this, jun jiu ling, legend of the female general, prisoner of beauty kind of quick pacing where stuff never stops happening. any recs? i'm not a huge fan of tragedies but i'm open to something fast paced like this where even if it's sad i'm not emotionally invested enough to care too much. does that make sense?

i still laugh when i think of that scene in coroner's diary where she's solving a murder and she asks the prince if he's heard of the art of underwater escaping because obviously that's the key to solving the murder and she read about it once in a book and the prince is like "no i live in the palace" 😂 sir, is that the only reason you wouldn't be familiar with a secret acting technique nobody's ever heard of? lol. almost nothing gets an 8.7 and that show did? crazy stuff.

it’s essentially a battle of wits.

it did not feel slow for me and while the emperor has a harem he never cares romantically for anyone but the female lead but the reason the show is amazing is her and only her. she’s my favorite FL maybe ever. if you ever find the time I really recommend giving it a try. the emperor is the only emperor in a historical drama to date that truly feels like an emperor. he’s terrifying and smart and cunning and ruthless. it’s so good!!!
