I have never hated anyone the way I hate Xia Jingshi. I mean I'm sure that's not true but in this moment it feels true!!! GAHH I HOPE HE DIES PAINFULLY
ya'll i need recs. i don't need the plot to be the same just the pacing and plot level. for reference, something with the pacing of this, jun jiu ling, legend of the female general, prisoner of beauty kind of quick pacing where stuff never stops happening. any recs? i'm not a huge fan of tragedies but i'm open to something fast paced like this where even if it's sad i'm not emotionally invested enough to care too much. does that make sense?
I LEGIT CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT'S HAPPENING RIGHT NOW. AND IT'S REALISTIC! WHICH IS EVEN CRAZIER. I UNDERSTAND WHY EVERYONE IS DOING WHAT THEY'RE DOING. I'M GOING CRAZY WITH THEM. GAH. THIS IS CRAZY STUFF GUYS. WOWZA. YA'LL WHAT THE LITERAL EFF IS HAPPENING.
I JUST FINISHED 27 AND I LEGIT CAN'T HANDLE EVERYTHING THAT IS HAPPENING. OMG. OMG. OMG. OMG.
why murong yao feels bad about killing suige when he already killed him once before is confusing. but holy shit this is crazy. i am never surprised like this. NEVER!
everyone in this story is out of their mind except the FL and the ML and their subordinates. literally everyone else should be heavily medicated. the emperor deserves everything he has coming to him. truly.
i honestly kind of like the emperor of jinxiu and idk what that says about me but it definitely says something! haha when she slapped him and he liked it I was like girl you can fix him!!! hahahaha
i still laugh when i think of that scene in coroner's diary where she's solving a murder and she asks the prince if he's heard of the art of underwater escaping because obviously that's the key to solving the murder and she read about it once in a book and the prince is like "no i live in the palace" 😂 sir, is that the only reason you wouldn't be familiar with a secret acting technique nobody's ever heard of? lol. almost nothing gets an 8.7 and that show did? crazy stuff.
the story of yanxi palace is my favorite cdrama but I also love jun jiu ling. if you want two leads that are independent…
it did not feel slow for me and while the emperor has a harem he never cares romantically for anyone but the female lead but the reason the show is amazing is her and only her. she’s my favorite FL maybe ever. if you ever find the time I really recommend giving it a try. the emperor is the only emperor in a historical drama to date that truly feels like an emperor. he’s terrifying and smart and cunning and ruthless. it’s so good!!!
Ugh, I'm struggling to find another historical C-drama as good as Fated Hearts, guys :-/After trying to get into…
wonderland of love was also fun! and not technically historical but who rules the world is one I’ve watched more than once which is rare for me and love like the galaxy and the long ballad are also pretty good options! although I think the secret to liking historical cdramas is accepting that sometimes you’ll skim some parts!

the story of yanxi palace is my favorite cdrama but I also love jun jiu ling. if you want two leads that are independent and strong and only add to each others lives then jun jiu ling is a great place to start. she’s not a soldier but she does indeed hold her own. i have more i am also super picky!
So I'm on ep 16 but I need to rant about something.
So I figured out pretty early on Murong Yao is the guy in the mask but I can't for the life of me understand why he would do any of the things he's doing and I really hope there's a compelling reason for it or it might ruin the drama for me because his father is loyal to the emperor. he's being cultivated and given power by the emperor himself and his supposed best friend is the prince. why in gods name would he not just betray his country but also try to turn his best friend into a murderous villain? is there some giant secret we don't know? either way it can't be feng suige's fault! i don't want spoilers i just want to know if there's logic behind his actions cause at this point he just seems like a total psychopath making irresponsible decisions for fun. at least xia jingshi has like justifiable reasons to act in the way he's doing even if his actions are not justifiable, at least as far as we've been told. like why the fuck would murong yao destroy his own life like this? i can't fathom it and i'm so upset for feng suige to be betrayed by yet again another person he cares for. ugh. also the sister's a lost cause as far as i can tell i never liked her from the start though. betraying her father right after he just told her he would do anything for her is WILD.
I am on 16 and I am already so devastated for feng suige to be betrayed yet again by every person he cares about. I feel like I’m just waiting to see his heart ripped out 😭
