I thought him closing his eyes was an acting choice but it being a writing choice is such a good detail!

right because she even says it's 'his revenge' like your dad was killed too...

I agree with the chopping wood to process his rage, especially now that xha told him he cannot copy texts to calm himself the way he used to as a prince. it's a good bit of show not tell writing

finally a quality drama with good writing and a good ensemble

the lead actor is impressive

she’s the grand tutor’s daughter and he needs to marry her to gain power. CC loves her brother like a brother from what I can tell. Villain so far is her father, she has no solid allies, even ML keeps hiding things from her

I’m so sat for this

BR and S&B have an inbuilt fandom as they are sequels. but I'm watching them both and they are solid wuxia fantasies

wow 7.9. is it that bad? or is it like the double that rose later?

He’s beating Nan Heng’s dad atp

stunning

No it’s explained in this show. Episode 2 I think

It’s explained that he was practicing forbidden arts so he was banished from the family and told to change his surname

Me too. But I’m following this drama with no problem

I find this one more interesting and well paced. Whispers of fate just throws us in the middle of the action but this one takes time to explain things (while still keeping mystery) and it’s a sequel

I heard it’s a SE 🙁

I liked situ ling before but now his character set up is becoming lazy. I hate the didi goes crazy for FL trope. so now he's fed her blood which she didn't ask for and will act entitled to her because he made a sacrifice (which she didn't ask for)

MYM is more of her own character than a love interest. in TBOY she talked a little about her past with tang lianyue. the only thing we know about them is that she tried to kill him 3 times

maybe we will. they didn't appear in TBOY

he sacrificed blood river members. of course smy would not take that well
