Haters below gonna hate lol. My Journey To You’s director, Guo Jingming was the one who personally invited Esther. He convinced Esther & Zhang Linghe to star in his show by saying “I’m gonna capture the prettiest of you in your 20’s”. Plus, Guo Jingming was the one who said he want to cast Esther back in 2020 when he guested in THE9 variety shows Let’s Go Party. Esther even went to support GJM’s movie premiere/conference. They are already acquainted.

Esther’s bubbly and easy going characters help her to gain social capital which is important to survive in the industry. It’s no wonder that she’s friends with many people like DuHua (Yuehua CEO), Yang Tianzhe (former famous artist agent/CEO of Easy Ent) and more. Even I am impressed the way she cutely greeted Director Da Peng during IQiyi Scream Night 2023 which dir. Da Peng also cutely waved back to Esther.
