Funny because I actually deleted a whole sentence on how I wish they can have proper promo for SAL because I will be forever salty about MJTY’s promo 😭😭 Esther & Linghe were never in same place for offline promotion & Hi6, no magazine shoot while 2nd & 3rd couple had it (no hate to the cast), no cute/funny promo Douyin video, etc. Sword & Fairy 6 is somewhat a little bit better because the main cast can gather together. So, I’m glad she filmed a lot of Douyin video and vlog with He Yu & Chen Jingke, so we don’t feel so hopeless like MJTY era

I’m not active in all social media, but I did defend and speaking up for Esther several times against haters on platfroms like mdl and reddit, literally created an account just to defend her. Just because I show my support in a different way, doesn’t mean I love her less. Again, I have my own belief and religion which is why I restrained myself
Let’s hope the filming ends smoothly soon so everyone can find a little peace. It’s unfortunate that we have the right casts with the wrong production house. Remember everyone has the freedom to watch and support this drama whether it’s Esther, He Yu, other cast, novel fans, or the general public. Let’s be respectful.
I’m saying this as Esther’s fan. We can raise awareness about what the production house has been doing but let’s not get too blinded with hatred. For example, the statement that the social media manager only interacts with the male lead’s posts is not true. It’s just that I don’t tolerate slander as it is against my belief and religion, hence, I rarely comment on things that might bring hate to innocent parties when I don’t know the full picture.
This is just my opinion and observation, the Chinese entertainment industry has low work integrity, which is why we often see schedule leaks everywhere for dramas that are in filming phases because people from the crew, or third party leaks it for money. The devil works hard, but daipais work harder, even with the black cloth covering the set, and laser shooting, those daipas/fans will still work hard to get materials because there are demands from the fans. It’s easier to have leaks if you’re filming a modern drama in an open space. Though most productions are quite lenient as it brings traffic.
I did notice some people said they wish this drama follow 100% from the novel. Drama adaptation always deviates from the source material, if you’re a novel fan, you might want to treat this as a different medium to avoid disappointment. If you follow Esther, you will know she’s the type of actress who doesn’t follow the script, she said it herself in interviews with ZBB & DYX. She will discuss and improvise the script with the director and her co-stars. Of course, in the end, the director has the final say in which clip makes it into the final film, but I know if she finds injustice in Jiang Mu’s character she will speak out about it.
