I love this drama but I find it so funny that Qin Fang fell in love with a plant, and then had a large age gap, and THEN had potential incest, and theennn Si Teng became a CHILD. :'D

For me, at episode 1, I expected The Imperial Coroner to another no-chemistry romance drama. Was very intrigued by episode 2, and got more intrigued in the mystery in the coming episodes. Absolutely love it now at episode 20. It's centered on mystery, and the romance is a side which is very cute.

Obviously it's not as nerve-wrecking or angsty as The Long Ballad. The quality is also no where as beautiful. But the anticipation is definitely there.

Woah woah... Sure I agree that the rating on this drama should be much higher, but don't insult peoples preferences please.

The Long Ballad is an intricate political drama with elements of REAL Chinese history. If you don't like the story, then it's understandable. But a lot of people liked the Long Ballad and you have no right to call them "weird".

Don't worry about those, they are just baseless rumors!

Regarding teacher-student and pedophelia, you can see for yourself if it's fine with you.

For me, yes there is a teacher-student relationship, but it never bothered me. The only reason a teacher-student can be toxic is the power dynamic. The teacher-student toxic power dynamic was nonexistent in this ship.

For pedophilia, perhaps you might find it wrong for Chu Wanning (the ML) to fall for a much younger man. But this is set in a xianxia ancient Chinese world, so obviously their moral code is much different. There are also many other reasons that I am not bothered by the age gap, but I don't wish to spoil so :)))

I actually didn't know about this before... banning Yaoi? Understandable, but it should just be part of banning sexual content discussions.

Banning BL tho? WHY? As a younger user I join plenty of discussions about BL. We discuss the same-sex relationships as we want.

About Shi Mei being a female, I don't think you have to worry. The fans already had an uproar about that, and the team working on Immortality sent out a message saying "What should be there will be there. What shouldn't be there shouldn't be there. I've also heard that Meatbun personally sent a message to pacify her fans.

I'm not very updated about ANYTHING in cdramaland, so I just hear rumors from others... The plot will definitely be a lot different, but I think the framework will still be there. I know that censorship is frustrating, but if the plot is really different then I will just view this as something that is NOT 2HA. It may change completely, but as long as it's a captivating drama then I'll like it. :):):)

Also again, in an adaptation, the FRAMEWORK is still the same. So Shi Mei being a female doesn't change anything because of well.... the flower. If Shi Mei is a love interest that's a drastic change which is just... horrible. It can also be used to fuel the fact that Mo Ran liked Shi Mei in the beginning of the story.

Honestly I think that it will be a lot more than master-disciple based on tons of bts I've seen :'D :'D BUT we'll only know when the drama actually comes out. Would love to discuss any BL points in the drama after it comes out.

And YESSS Luo Yunxi is actually the perfect Chu Wanning!!! He has such an air of elegance too when wearing white and UWUWUWU

So I'm not VERY sure in EVERYTHING that needs to be censored, but there is homosexuality (ranwan), rape (ranwan), gore, transmigration (Mo Ran going back into his younger self, although this is questionable, Im not sure how they'll handle this certain plot point)

Luo Yunxi, playing Chu Wanning, is an absolutely STELLAR actor. You can watch his works "Ashes of Love", or "Princess Silver". He plays second ML in a lot of those :'D but his acting skills are amazing, and his voice is beautiful. He stars as first ML in "Love is Sweet" and "And the Winner is Love".

I've never watched Arthur Chen but I heard his performance in Evernight was good so

I just sort of had a question about the novel.

So, I see a lot of people saying Wei Wuxian is bisexual. I feel this is a bit innacurate? It's canon that Wei Wuxian liked to flirt with pretty girls. He didn't interact with LWJ because of flirtatious interest at the beginning. He grew to love LWJ because well... he's LWJ.

I don't think this could be determined as bisexuality, because he didn't have a sexual or romantic interest in BOTH guys and girls before.

Also, just a note, I really don't understand sexuality much. If I've said anything offensive, then I apologize, I'm really just curious and don't understand.

I have tons of dramas where I question "Why does this have such a high rating? It's so bad! Why?" A lot of people like a drama like "The Long Ballad". A lot of people don't. Your personal preference does not represent the preferences of others.

Yeah I do agree with this statement :((( There are still a lot of traditional close-minded views on the LGBTQ+ community in Asia. Countries like Korea have been getting a litttlle more open minded though so I do hope to see the day where BL dramas and the LGBTQ+ community can be fully accepted.

I agree not all actors, especially experienced famous ones may be willing to star in a BL drama. Not that all of them are homophobic or something, I'm sure there's actors who fully accept this. But sadly there's a lot of toxic fans who will probably "cancel" actors for acting in a BL drama :((

I think one of the best things about this drama is that it just gets better and better, and ends on a good note. (to me at least, I know some people were disappointed at the ending). The romance at the beginning was meh to me, but they developed such an emotional romance and trust in each other, while sticking to their own ideals at the same time. It's beautiful, no need for more kisses in my opinion to show love. The character development was spot on. I love how this started out as a revenge centered drama but it evolved into something much larger and different. The political plots were stringed together in a perfect way. I loved all the characters that the drama focused on, even shed a few tears for Khatun...

I've seen some people say that she switches between dumb and smart making her incosistent... like where??? WHERE??? She's ALWAYS shown talent in autopsy, making her incredibly intelligent. She has an innocent, naive, pure nature but that doesn't make her dumb. It is possible for a person to be very educated while having a more naive personality at the same time.

Yeah I saw this in the youtube comment section and was pretty sad this got ommitted from the drama.... added even more sadness when I saw Consort Gao's opera clothing being burned
