Second, he is not HER professor. He is a professor in the school that she is attending, and is a professor that was supposed to help grade her thesis, but I don’t believe she has any classes with him.

Third, you concerns about the power dynamic in a real life student-teacher relationship are understandable. However, in this drama, if you watched it to the end, there is a completely unproblematic and healthy dynamic. No power dynamic signs.

Wow ep 25 really made me cry in the first scene... I hadnt even felt attached to Ashile Sun's mother but damn Leo Wu's acting was so amazing I started actually crying along with him

This upsets drama viewerss? eh???? I mean as a scriptwriter giving the main character more pain gives a more interesting story. That doesnt make her sadistic in real life or something. When I write, making my characters super tragic makes me even happier.

It gets more interesting as it goes. However, I started enjoying this a lot since the 3rd ep so Im not rly sure if this drama is for you.

So I'm at the beginning at ep 24, and when Ashile Sun pours the wine into 2 bowls, most of it goes on the table. Is this a Chinese custom or smthing? I see this in every drama! LIKE UR WASTING SO MUCH WINE WTF AND SOMEONE HAS TO WIPE UR TABLE LATER -____-

I agree, the romance part was unessescary, I was kinda skipping a lot of Lin Wan'er and Fan Xian moments.

The romance IS kind of important though as part of the plot, because Lin Wan'ers status as a princess has helped Fan Xian at least once.

Glad u liked this show, I did too, now lets wait for season 2 T^T

Personally, if you didn't like Nirvana in Fire or The Untamed, then this drama is probably not your type. But, I would still recommend giving it a shot.
