I think a romance between MR and SM would change the story too much. (If you keep on reading, you will know.) Like it would change not only the CP, but the whole plot in general. I don't believe that they would risk that. Personally, I think having SM as a female is alright, and it might gear the plot part of MR's obsession with SM in the beginning. If this really ends with SM x MR though, I really don't think I could watch, cuz RanWan is my fave.

I don't think either of the MLs will have a romance with the girl. I don't want to spoil the original material, but a romance with the girl would change the story way too much. Way too much. Actually MR will probably have a slight romance with SM(the girl) because thats canon-compliant , but they are definitely not endgame. The screenwriter (i think?) released a message saying that what sould be there will be there, and what shouldn't be there won't be there. So I'm not too worried. I hope they give this BL adaptation justice!

He's not a "I will stand up for justice whenever I see injustice" person, but rather a more grey character. The show shows the fake "righteousness" of the cultivators. He doesn't DELIBERATELY hurt innocent people, and when he does, he is capable of expressing guilt and regret. I personally don't like villains, but I did love his character. There's tons of hidden secrets behind him too, and I just want to find out so bad :D:D I recommend you give this a shot first.
