I hate when the writer thinks that a woman's strength or intelligence has to be lowered in order for the man to shine.

Why did Ryan work in this drama? I couldn't even finish the 1st epi :(

I've dropped too many j-dramas coz the FLs are annoying stupid doormats. Or they keep smiling constantly without reason instead of acting like a normal human being. It's the equivalent of the childish dubbing of FLs in c-dramas. Maybe there are male viewers who like them young.
But I know nothing will change coz most blind fans find excuses, and they are in majority.

The opening credits was enough for me to drop.

I first saw Victoria in 'Luoyang' and loved her but after that I haven't been able to like any of her dramas.

Finishing the 1st epi itself was a torture, and the FL talks like a child which is not tolerable at all. Won't waste my time, there are far better dramas out there.

When I was new to MDL I thought these ratings are credible. Then I saw even bad dramas get 7+, then got fooled by reviews until I learnt my lesson.
Thankfully no blind fan has discovered us. Such ppl think MDL is a fan forum where u only sing praises hahaha

I have this same problem. If someone wants to watch cartoons they should go watch them. It's so annoying to see humans act like that. I'm unable to relate to such acting and it ruins the experience. I'm sure these actors can act like normal people but maybe this is what japanese viewers like to see.

When I was new to thai dramas, I trusted comments and ended up watching some dramas where the ML r*ped the FL. The victim would be normal by the next day, romance would start and fans found excuses for the criminal.
I wonder why c-dramas are going near that trash. These stories of weak women sound like from some ancient time instead of 2024!

ah yes! It could be a message that there's a reason why the man is violent. So women should try n understand him, forgive him, and give him all the love. Be a nurse, don't have any dignity and your love will change him LOL
How I wish she would have either left him or make him go thru the exact same torture. Maybe some women are masochists and those were the target audience and not us.

Or when the FL is really strong then she'll be rude and violent. They never understand how to make a normal female character who is neither a doormat nor a bully.

The writer thought that not showing the wife's scenes will make us forget her just like the ML and his entire family did. It's impossible that he didn't have a single happy memory with her to go to. He neglected her for years while trying to be a superhero. This is why I wasn't invested in this so-called romance of the leads.

Maybe chinese girls love watching these dramas while the rest of us roll our eyes and have a good laugh. C-dramas can be so amazing when they want to be while some are at the gutter level hahaha

When I was new to c/k dramas I thought maybe it was me who was not able to understand but now I realize that it's my expectations and standards which are high lol
