Come on, this 8.2 rating has got to drop. Stop it, whoever is doing this. No one believes this rating is real.…
Checking a series' rating used to be my criteria of watching a series, but then i found out that people tend to forgive and forget everything else about a series if they like one aspect of it. And when I tried to make reviews the basis of my watchlist, those 10/10 reviews calling series 'masterpiece' and whatnot took me out. I mean, I get the phenomenon of cute boys doing cute things together, but a series should not be judged on how good its compilation videos, gif sets or images are, but rather how good it is in its original form. And if I can't trust the rating or the reviews, then what am I even supposed to trust?

Regarding the police, I'm assuming a text message from Uncle Kit with a photo of the wealthiest boy in the country…
Yeah I think you're right, it must have been Ben's influence as being the son of a very important person in the country for them to go there.

"Palm's whole conversation is like, 'I have no personality other than my devotion to you'."This. So much. With…
Exactly, even though I don't like Nueng, at least he had different things going for him. Palm feels like someone who was raised for the sole purpose of subservience. And all those years he was in the village doing his own thing, it was because he was not needed. Looking deeper, if Palm's father lived in the city all these years and Palm was a single child, who worked in the village, why didn't his father take him to the city with him. If Palm's gonna work anyway, a city has more versatile work options with higher wages and everything. There are also many skill based jobs and he could easily have learned a skill.

And yes I really hated this idea of generational servant thing (i can't think of the correct word) where the son is also employed as the servant to a family. For someone who was almost delirious trying to save the life of his infant son, that love sure doesn't come across the screen when he's older. And now that I think about it, Palm was in hospital, he was shot and paralyzed, and they didn't even bother to put a single scene of Palm's father visiting him or caring for him in any way. Shit's depressing.

Title Never Let Me Go Spoiler
Final Episode 12: It finally let me go.

This episode starts as every episode should have — with a banger picture of Nueng posing in an empty place. Wait, I am getting reports from our sources that he got kidnapped. But how could anyone kidnap someone with such killer modelling poses? Like he slayed! Didn't he slay the kidnappers? That blackmail picture should've been on his Instagram story with the caption "New Things Coming", sending the fans into a frenzy for his upcoming album release announcement. Oh wait, I got off-track; YES! the show and I are in SYNC!

Oh, Chopper, my lovely Chopper - born in the wrong family, surrounded by the wrong kind of people. And now being blamed by Palm. Welp. But, well, you see, his master got kidnapped, so he's taking out his anger on the first person he can - Poor Chopper. But in that scene, Chopper felt more of a lead actor than Palm, calming him down like that.

Okay, I love Uncle Kit; his acting is so convincing. He's so smart; seems as if all the brains went to his side of the family. ALSO, I'm LOVING this episode - not him casually shooting Palm on his leg cause he was annoying him! hahahahahahaha. "You are talking too much" - Yes you're right, shut him up. Also, his plan to torture Palm to make Nueng sign? GENIUS. His henchmen might be incapable of a single assassination, but at least his plans are GOOD.

"I can't watch people that I love die again" Nueng, my trust fund baby, if that happened, you could have just gone on another vacation with all your money with a new local boyfriend. But I'm glad you did not because THAT honeymoon reality show would have taken three more episodes, and all my life has already left me to dunk deep in the sea.

Uncle Kit with the GENIUS plan "Now, it’s time for you two to become missing persons. Mr. Nueng, your parents are dead. You can’t handle it. So you ran away with your servant’s son and have never been seen again." My man's been planning smartly. (I don't know why he doesn't know that the momma's outta the coma, but well it can be fixed the same day afterwards anyways.) He and his family are the real MVPs of the show.

Chopper with his brave and smart plan. AND damn, he shot his own Father! On the leg, but nonetheless. And Uncle Kit is like, "Why are you pointing your gun at my son? Put it down.". DAMN, HE LOVES HIS SON LIKE THAT. Fuck palm and Nueng's honeymoon story, I wanted to watch THIS family as the main. THE COMPLEXITY of loving someone and being against their values like that, that's some crazy good material right there. With Chopper's unrequited love, living in a shadow and a father that's Uncle Kit who's trying to kill his cousin, and your crush likes your cousin, THEN YOU'RE FORCED TO CHOOSE between your father and what's right like that. DAMN, I WOULD HAVE LOVED IT! & you know the best part of this hypothetical story, THEY'RE ALL GOOD ACTORS!

Nueng is like "shake it off" with a bullet shot Palm. Press on his wound, you educated dumbnut. No need to mix the sugar in his blood outta the body like that with your shaking. Speed-running Palm's death like that.

CHOPPER SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE MAIN LEAD.

UNCLE KIT STEALS EVERY SCENE.

Side question, was Nueng this sad and miserable for his mother?

Not the 'Chopper-apologizing-scene' (writers tenaciously making Chopper and Ben apologise for things that aren't their fault, NEED TO BE PAID PALM'S SALARY - NONEXISTENT) with Nueng being portrayed as this wise guy forgiving him - so out of character. ALSO, CHOPPER didn't just put his dad in jail, he SHOT HIM! (who shot at him the second time? Chopper was still in shock mode, the bodyguard (hah!) had his gun down, and the police wasn't in yet, hm meh, maybe a policeman was hiding or something in my delusion)

Also, a side note on cops, why did they believe Chopper, but not Nueng? What proof did he provide? Because that was a sizeable group of policemen who came to rescue Nueng and Palm.

Can someone remind 'I'm-forever-alone' Nueng that his mother, whom he left for a beach boyfriend, is alive and probably well? Why is he using people as plural in 'Can't lose more people'? Yes, his dad died, but he left his mother to die willingly which unfortunately for him is not dead. yet.

Chopper and Ben's characters are written far more logically; like their plan was very logical. Whilst Ben waited and made sure to bring police with him, Chopper felt like he couldn't wait for something bad to happen and he went ahead, with his element of surprise to at least try to delay his father if he could. Nice. Also, their relationship timeline is far more natural: they did not RUSH into a relationship but rather are naturally progressing. I liked that. main characters' energy.

Important side note, whomsoever wrote these dialogues, should be punished to work under Nueng with his tantrums. These dialogues are written very amateurishly (or their translation is at fault).

Also, Palm, my servant child, something bad happens to him every episode. He just can't catch a break!

AND WHERE ARE THE PHYSICAL THERAPISTS? They can't afford them or something? Why in such a big hospital, Nueng is the one helping him with this thing? Honestly, doctors should let the boyfriends do surgery too, FOR THE ROMANCE! Imagine saying I love you whilst you're cutting their skull for brain surgery. SO ROMANTIC!

AND who are these Costume designers? Why is Nueng wearing that atrocious combination of clothes - a pink shirt, a white geometrical patterned tie, and is that a dark brown cardigan on top? An offence to the eyes. The 2000s called, and they requested to not return this bad fashion.

NOT ANOTHER CHOPPER APOLOGY. AT THIS RATE, MAKE A YOUTUBE VIDEO OR SOMETHING AND TATTOO THE QR CODE ON YOUR FOREHEAD! DAMN!

Also, isn't Nueng paying his hospital bills? weird but okay, guess they really can't afford a physical therapist. IMAGINE BEING FILTHY RICH & NOT insisting on helping with the medical expenses.

(walking to the bathroom equals drama, suddenly it's a burden on Nueng, what about the physical therapy montage?)

So his mother is still in the hospital? Does Nueng visit her? As far as I know, he's all the time with Palm. And when he is finally shown to visit, it's with Palm... ALSO, Nueng's mother again compensating for Nueng's lack of skills both as a character and an actor.

Side note, Neung's new hairstyle is good.

Episode 12th's storyline is written very hastily with this time skip.

AND OH, Nueng not going after Palm is very out-of-character for him, like he would rather tie actual chains on Palm's ankles than be without him for one second. I dunno from where this acceptance came from, but it sure isn't Nueng.

ALSO, did Palm name the bar Nuengdiao? He named his 'shot-dead-in-front-of-my-eyes-protecting-me' biological mother's bar on the name of his boyfriend? Who indirectly had a hand n her death? SERVANT (slave actually, cause no-pay you know) BEHAVOIUR.

LMAO did Nueng just start to guilt trip Palm as soon as he saw him, listing all the ways how Palm failed him? LMAO, now THIS is the Nueng that I recognise and know.

AND making Palm's mother's death about their relationship?? MY NUENG IS BACK!!

MR. NUENG!

I like this 'working-in-the-bar' version of Nueng more but I know this is just a mirage, like Nueng's hired bodyguards. oops sorry forgot that we shouldn't talk about it or their absence in the life of filthy rich people whose main family member was shot-dead, the mother had an attempted assassination, and the child had a constant threat to his life and multiple attempts too. Oh, wait, I forgot, when I invited them to the party in my house in episode 11, and they were too drunk to go back, they told me after excruciating hungover in the morning that they don't get paid and that's why they didn't come back in episode 12. Worry not though, now they've joined a union along with all the past members that had quit the job.

AHEM, SO THEY CONFIRMED THAT NUENG WAS FLIRTING WITH PALM BACK IN THE HOUSE! which means he was flirting with PALM while he was going around kissing Ben and going on 'non-dates'. What a two-timing prick. My episode 5 comment theory finally got CANON VERBAL justice! That also means that he was also flirting with Palm during the time he publicly humiliated him. Palm might be in an abusive relationship BUT THE VENGENCE IS MINE.

Palm's whole conversation is like, 'I have no personality other than my devotion to you'.

IT TOOK 12 EPISODES TO DROP MR. NUENG! LMAO, WHAT? I think that the writers wanted to make it a big iconic moment, but with how ridiculous it is, it is already a big moment just not in the way they intended.

Anyways, if the actor feels uncomfortable kissing, don't make them do it or use an intimacy coordinator, just don't show close-up like that, use some camera tricks instead.

But as Elsa said, Let it go. Let it go.

****

But finally, I'm free. YES, writing these comments has been a huge help in getting through this series for which I had very high expectations. I hated how it killed my excitement and took out my frustrations in these comments since episode five which honestly started with my dislike of the main character's behaviour. If I could have dropped the series, then I would have, but I have a very curious nature I need to know how a story ends and that was my suffering. But like I said, having the focus on writing these comments helped me watch this series at normal speed without skipping, I know magic! I'm like these show's writers, I can make anything happen.

This show was a 6.5 for me. Fair, but not good Enough. It had a good story outline, beautiful locations, and some great characters and actors but its main leads' lack of complex acting skills and weak storyboard is what became its foe.

I mean, this is not to say being 18 disqualifies anyone of being able to shoulder that kind of responsibility…

If you can drop a series if you don't like it, then you should watch a couple episodes. Maybe you'll find some aspects of it more appealing.

i just think them trying to make us believe that an 18 year old and his 18 year old boyfriend/bodyguard is running…
I mean, this is not to say being 18 disqualifies anyone of being able to shoulder that kind of responsibility as there are many people in the world that have/had to step up in their communities and families and do so brilliantly. It's just that the protagonists in this show have never shown that level of maturity or wisdom. Like ever. Hah.

Maybe their acting skill is decent for non-intense scenes. I mean in first part of the show, Nueng was just a brat and Palm was just an "okay mr. Nueng", so no need for any range.
