Man, people always complaining about everything! I am personally loving this drama, i understand not everyone…
I know, it's like 90% of the comments are negative. People can of course voice their opinions. But it just makes me sad 'cause actually I love this drama so much. I would like to see some other people also enjoying it and some positive comments.

I'm only watching for the bromance and I'm mostly skipping the romance because there's nothing unique about it…
Bromance is going upwards again! Like a lot!

Okay, okay. Ep 8 was much better in my personal opinion. And based on the preview it looks like we’re at least going in the right direction again. This drama really has me going crazy. I’m annoying the heck out of everyone I know blathering on about the characters like they have a clue what I’m talking about lol. The problem with this drama is that my expectations are really high, because it set its bar pretty sky-high right off the bat.

For me, I want the story to focus on bromance (and friendship stuff in general) because I just enjoy watching that more than watching romance of any kind, and that includes BL (which I also watch, but I don't think there are enough stories out there with focus on platonic relationships). I'm very very very rarely ever interested in romantic couples in dramas, with maybe like one or two exceptions. Yeo Jun and So Bin are fine as a couple. I'm just not watching this drama for the romance. I'm more interested in Yeo Jun as an individual. I wish I could be one of those girls who gets butterflies and all excited about couples and drama kisses, but I just (almost) never feel a thing.

100% the romance is taking this story in the wrong direction.
I actually agree with you about Mi Joo. I thought when they introduced her, there would be an interesting story for her character. But as they've reduced her to simply "a girl with a crush on SH," I feel like her character adds nothing to the story. I wish they could have thought of something else for her to do. Also, I don't really feel SH needs to have any romantic plot at all. It would be a better story for me if it focused on their individual problems and how they help each other as friends and get to to understand each other on a deeper, less-rushed/forced level. When they start to squeeze in all these romance-centered scenes, I feel like I'm watching a different drama, one I've already seen many times before.

100% the romance is taking this story in the wrong direction.
Yes, I was okay with the pairing when I thought it would be a side story. I never thought it would get this much focus to the point the story would become something other than what it started as. Do we really need another romance-focused drama? Agree about Mi Joo. Her character could be taken out entirely. She's a waste of screen-time, and all I feel is embarrassment trying to watch her hit on SH. Is that really all they plan to do with her character? In that case, what is the point? The friendship between SH and YJ is far more unique and interesting to me than the romance, which, like you said, is heading into cliché territory now.

I think the scene at the end showed how much he is not healed by love. Sobin will only probably be the first person…
I hope you're right. I've been burned by dramas so many times I've lost all trust. lol

I'm sorry, but ep 7 disappointed me for so many different reasons, and why do I feel like they are dropping the plotline of Jun's past in a "he has a girlfriend now so he's healed all of a sudden" move, where none of his issues will get addressed and his parents will be painted as poor victims who are "hurting inside?" Why has romance become the main plot here, overshadowing everything else? This is not the story you promised me. I'm fine with romance on the side, but not if it's the kind that "heals all."

There really is such a stigma toward people with any kind of mental health issue, my goodness. Sorry if we "crazy" people aren't "normal" enough for all you upstanding "sane" people. Sometimes if we spend our entire childhood being physically and mentally abused, we don't turn out the same as people raised in a healthy environment. Jun is supposed to be what, 18/19 or something? That's still a kid. He absolutely has time to grow and change as a person and he deserves all the sympathy in the world after what he's been through. Heck, when I was that age, I was a self-centered, immature, thoughtless little weirdo. But I grew up being told I was worthless and how my parents lives would have been "perfect" if I were never born, and having my own father try to strangle me to death. So I apologize greatly if I offend any sane people out there who can't possibly sympathize with victims of abuse. Please continue living your lives without trying to understand anyone. And no, this is not directed at anyone in particular. It's just a general vibe I've picked up, that so many people equate mental illness with being evil or a serial killer or whatever. Nope. That's not how it works. People have good and bad qualities. No one is perfect. Okay. I'm done with my rant.

His character was not meant to be likeable in the first place. Yeo Jun’s description is “ A wolf in sheep…
For me, I don’t like “perfect” characters or ones who are too nice or too good. It’s boring and unrealistic and I don’t relate, not being close to perfect myself. In this case, Jun’s weird behaviors make me like him more. Maybe I’m just a terrible person lol. But yes, the actor is indeed charming in the role.

It's easier to stomach the character if he has a mental illness, but I'm not sure that's meant to be the case.…
The reason I think he does have a mental illness is because I recognized some of his behaviors. And Mork is exactly the person he would not trust to help him. In Aoey’s eyes, Mork sided with his family over him, and so was not trustworthy. I understand the way a personality disorder can make you think. So I can put myself in his shoes. Nothing to do with making up excuses. It’s like something in your brain is damaged and doesn’t work right. He needed someone he trusted to help him, which would be Tiffy, not Mork, sadly. It’s not Mork’s fault, he just couldn’t really understand. Instead, she abandoned him, which is just going to make his illness worse. He didn’t “earn” unhappiness. That’s a bit cruel. He didn’t ask to be mentally ill. It’s not a fun time. Hence, why he was always miserable.

A lot of people don’t really seem to understand what effect mental illness, and I believe Aoey is indeed mentally ill, can have on a person. They tend to think of the illness and the person as one entity, but actually the person is separate from the illness. It can make them behave in ways that they otherwise would not. It’s like their brain knows what they’re doing is wrong, and they don’t even really like what they’re doing, but they end up acting out anyway. In his case, I felt his illness made him believe his bad actions would make him happy...but he always felt sad after, and this is because his actual self didn’t want these things. I’m not saying it’s totally fine for him to behave this way. But it disturbs me to see people cross him out as just an evil villain, and not really try to understand that he is sick and needs help. This is coming from someone who has struggled with mental illness her whole life. So I can understand him. Just because someone is mentally ill doesn’t make them a serial killer. This mentality makes me feel really sad. I’m not looking to start an argument or have people coming for me saying how this or that doesn’t excuse him. My point is not that everything he did was fine. But that he isn’t simply evil, and should not have been abandoned like that by Tiffy, who claimed to care about him. That was not “deserved.” What he did deserve was help, someone to guide him, and get him in therapy. Mentally ill does not equal evil.
