At first, I came into this drama because of Zhang Ziyi and Tony Yang! And I knew that they won't be together and thought I'd be suffering the entire drama wishing for that cp. BUT NO! Ever since Xiao Qi showed up, I was all TEAM XIAO QI! Like this man is the ideal man of my life... at first not-getting-together-with-first-love-but-slowly-falling-in-love-with-the-arrogant-male-lead-after-10-episodes-of-misunderstanding... i really wasn't ready for that kind of trope.. but Xiao Qi and Awu's transparency really amazed me and it was SO refreshing! Xiao Qi was so gentle and patient and there was no possible way you can't fall in love with that kind of man..... all the politics set aside, their love story is what's carrying the drama for me... the politics side of the drama is not that refreshing and very cliche... the king acting weak is too boring... but hopefully the plot thickens and it gets better and we need more Xiao Qi and Awu scenes!!!

Yes, really! The transparency between Xiao Qi and Awu is really great. Usually the misunderstandings are so frustrating when all the characters need is to be honest with each other and Xiao Qi and Awu (up until now) are really honest with one another, took the time they needed to slowly get into their relationship.
Finished until ep10! To be honest, it's not mindblowing until now... but it definitely has quality and the acting is top notch for sure... still I look forward for the upcoming episodes! I was super excited we were having a long guzhuang drama with good cast... I'm pretty sure we will have a lot of fillers since it is 68 episodes but whatever, it's Zhang Ziyi!!
At first I was loving the chemistry but not a huge fan of how the plot proceeded! But still 8/10 for me! It’s wayy better than a lot of BL themed films these days!!! I hope I could see them a little longer! Birdy looks a lot like Yang Yang so that’s a plus!!! Overall totally recommend!!!!!!

This sounds so similar to the one Sun Yi did before with Ma Tian Yu which was like freaking 70 episodes long... it was a crazy ride and if this one is just like that, no thanks. Adopted sibling romance is just too much.
Up to 12 and so far it’s okay. Not too good but not too disappointing. And I’m guessing ErYu is Feng Xi. Because ErYu’s face was covered when he was reviving Dong Yue.
