Oh I only wish the leads could actually interact. Their chemistry would be phenomenal. Sadly the script says otherwise,…
Romance fans are crazy lol

I hope it’s like the kdrama Blind where there is a hint of romance but never really there. But reading the description…
A hint of romance, where? Romance fans are crazy 🤣 You call that romance? You even watched it with your brain lol

after watching the first 5 episodes, i can say i really enjoy this drama. It’s unique, and there’s an ironic touch in how they help others break free, while their own relationship can’t be legally recognized

I didn’t see many people talking about this drama except on X, and it was really disappointing that they didn’t promote it more, because the quality is amazing and the acting is great too. I’m not usually into Taiwanese productions since it’s really hard to find subtitles and, of course, places to watch them. But whenever there’s a new release available, I never miss it.
Speaking of the drama, at first I thought it was just about revenge well, the whole plot is about revenge but it’s also about how we would react if something like that happened to us. It has a good lesson and delivers a meaningful message. Maybe my only complaint is that they didn’t explore the supernatural aspect more; it kind of got forgotten 🥲 Still, I totally recommend it.

lately, I’ve noticed that some Korean movies, especially the newer ones, are following certain formulas and honestly, it’s starting to show. It’s even more obvious when you watch a movie that feels like it could be a sequel.
i tried convincing myself that it was better than it actually was, but I just couldn’t. It’s one of those movies where, by the end, you’re thinking: not even the characters were worth it.

it's just a myth that psychopaths are emotionless (it's impossible for a human to not feel anything at all) and…
When did I ever deny that? I basically said the same thing in my last comment, lol. Everyone knows she’s calculative, cold, meticulous, manipulative, fascinated by violence, protective, obsessed with control, and so much more. She’s not just provoking her son, she’s also making everyone around her vulnerable even the security guard who’s supposed to keep the house in check. Why do you think she keeps such a close eye on everything? This woman is far from stupid, and honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if she ends up escaping

i partially agree with u psychopaths can indeed care about specific people, so just because someone shows affection doesn’t mean they lack psychopathic traits. In Jung I-shin’s case, what makes me doubt it is that her actions show genuine concern for her son’s well being, to the point of sacrificing herself for him. That goes beyond what we would typically expect from purely psychopathic behavior.

Me watching Queen Mantis Ep3 and realizing I-Shin's very first victim was her husband who was a drunk and used…
The police never knew because there was no evidence, and Jung I Shin created a believable story saying her husband had run off with a mistress. As for Su Yeol, psychologically, he has selective memory because of trauma: his brain represses painful memories of his father to avoid emotional suffering and only retains happy or neutral moments as a form of self protection

Why does she keeps collecting Leaves? What for?
I have a theory that the leaves represent the people who died, both from her and the copycat, but then the question comes up: how does she know the person is dead? So it’s kind of a wild theory hahaha.

I don't care if I'll sound annoying for constantly praising Go Hyung Jung but what can I say, when I see such…
Totally agree! Go Hyun Jung’s performance here is just amazing. Every expression, every little nuance really shows how complex Jung I shin is. Not recognizing this work would be insane she deserves all the praise for bringing such a cold, calculating, yet human character to life

im really worried about Cha Soo yeol Those moments when he laughs and cries at the same time show how overwhelmed and conflicted his emotions are. It seems like he uses laughter as a defense, a way to protect himself from the pain, but the tears that follow reveal the deep trauma and suffering he carries inside. He clearly holds a lot of anger and resentment, especially towards his mother, yet he remains profoundly human and vulnerable. Seeing this mix of emotions is heartbreaking, and I hope he can find some relief or emotional peace.

After episode 3, I really don’t think Jung I shin is a psychopath. That scene where she sets her conditions makes it clear: her priority was always her son’s well-being. She confessed as long as his name could be changed and his identity protected, so that he wouldn’t suffer because of her past. A true psychopath wouldn’t bother with that kind of sacrifice.

Yes, she is meticulous (asking for her own space, books, coffee, music) and definitely calculating, but those traits don’t automatically equal psychopathy. What stands out is that her actions are driven by guilt, control, and strangely enough motherly protection. She’s not cold or emotionless; she’s complex, torn between being a murderer and being a mother.

The first two episodes already gave me plenty of genuine laughs and the best part is that the comedy doesn’t feel forced at all. It’s the perfect kind of show to enjoy with family in the late afternoon. I also loved seeing Joo Jong Hyuk and Park Hee Soon again.
