this is the best time loop drama i’ve ever watched. no plot holes, everything resolved perfectly. each episode doesn’t have a single boring moment at all.
i hope there will be more chinese dramas like this in the future. at first i was surprised that this drama only have 15 eps, something that we don’t see much in cdramaland. but the duration is surprisingly perfect, it’s enough to wrap-up the whole story. deserved with the high rating!
for me this is the only drama that has the most unfair reviews on douban. it’s so sad seeing people hating on this drama not because of the plot, but targeted individual.
i still play the ost every day since i finished this drama. one of the best historical dramas ever, with amazing plot, acting, costumes, osts, and cinematography.
decided to start this because of bai jingting, but didn’t expect i would love tian xiwei so much! i’m on ep…
i just finished this drama. this is one of my favorite shows all the time, absolutely in love with this one!
the first 20 eps are fun and entertaining, then the plot moves to something deeper and emotional until 30 eps, and the last 10 eps are perfectly executed. we have 10 eps for a “happy ending”, rather than a last 10 minutes happy ending which we’ve seen in so many other historical dramas.
the only thing that i feel could be executed better is the romance part. it feels like they lost some momentum in the middle, while the romance for the first third of the drama is really strong. it would be nice to see some real development for their romantic relationship in the span of 2 years after they married, like probably throwing an emotional kiss or confession in the 20+ eps.
having a real kiss in ep 34 while both of them look like they don’t have any difficulty to kiss each other, especially li wei (since she’s the one who inisiated the kiss in ep 34) it feels like they could kiss way earlier than that. waiting for 2 years for a real kiss when both of them are absolutely in love with and into each other doesn’t make sense to me, especially because the kiss in ep 34 feels like it could happen any time.
regardless, the last 10 eps are cute, tho feels a bit rushed for the romance part.
don't be concerned about him not having more projects, i promise he is super well-known in china and does not…
absolutely agree! some well-known actors who have been in the industry for a long time know that the quality beats quantity. it’s way better having one breakthrough project a year rather than several mediocre projects.
as a big fan of bai jingting’s acting, i love that he’s really good at picking different projects which can show the range of his acting. it reminds me of wu lei and yang yang, in terms of acting’s skills and having several highly-rated dramas under their belts.
I started with meet yourself and started searching for similar healing dramas , here is when i ended up. Whoa…
have you watched Love Me Love My Voice? i’ll recommend it. i love Meet Yourself, and currently watching New Life Begins. i feel like they all have some similarities for being such a heart-warming, healing dramas.
decided to start this because of bai jingting, but didn’t expect i would love tian xiwei so much! i’m on ep 8 and their chemistry is sizzling, both really have such an expressive eyes. their drunken kiss is one of the best heart-felt, toe-curling kisses in any historical dramas. usually, the kiss will be awkward, or the camera angle will make it seem like that. but in this one, the shot is perfect, the kiss is mesmerizing, and the backsound is everything. i wish any dramas will take notes.
Did you maybe also lwatched and liked Love Between fairy and devil? If yes, maybe yuo will be surpruised that…
yes, i watched LBFAD! in fact i watched this because i love LBFAD so much and they’re written in the same universe.
do you know which her another novel that will be adapted to drama? i know a drama that’s currently filming with Yu Shuxin and Ding Yuxi, which is from the same screenwriter of LBFAD, but idk if this one is written from the same author of LBFAD’s novel or not.
i really can't wait for this one. zhou ye and lin yi, what a visual couple! it's only 24 eps so i have a high expectation that they won't make this draggy or something. i have a mixed feelings with the director; he was good in Love is Sweet, but ruined The Furthest Distance. hopefully this drama will be something like Hidden Love; short, no draggy scenes, and the main plot only focuses on the main couple.
this drama is predictable but enjoyable (and kinda addicting for me). i just wish the production value was high (like the set up and cgi), because they got two popular, award-winning actor and actress. they also said this drama has a big budget, i wondered if the money went to pay all the actors, so they didn’t have enough cost for the whole production. even the set up was repetitive 😢 i love yibo and liying, so i was expecting nothing less for both of them
ah, that’s kinda bittersweet ending. but for the whole drama, is it really angsty and tragic? because this drama is tagged with comedy, which is rare for any xianxia/wuxia dramas.
it’s probably time to rewatch this series. after finishing destined, i’m craving more of bai jinting’s acting, kinda addicting watching his micro expressions 😂
since you have watched both hidden love and love me love my voice .....which of them you find more interesting....did…
yes, for me both dramas gave me such a nice, warm feelings spreading all over my heart. haha. both are pretty rewatchable for me.
plot-wise, Love Me Love My Voice is more fluffy, with almost no-conflict at all. no negative characters, everyone in this drama have a good relationship. for some people, some episodes might feel a little bit boring, because this drama is highly characters driven. but for me, i really enjoyed all the episodes, each ep really has something to look forward to.
while in Hidden Love, we have some real conflicts and negative character, which makes this drama is more interesting and have some heart-wrenching moments.
if you like a drama with less conflict and focuses more about the relationship between the main leads, please watch Love Me Love My Voice. this is a beautiful drama. also, it's more about the dubbing and oriental music industry, which is something fresh for me. so i really enjoyed every song, every play they did as a voice actors.
I actually put Reset on my plan to watch cause I keep seeing comments here about Zhao Jinmai and how great it…
yes!!! and this one they took the billiard theme, something i’ve actually never seen before. they even shot this drama overseas. big budget, highly anticipated!
Yeah, and I think he's amazing at portraying villain roles, but I've watched Ancient Love poetry and The Blood…
no doubt for his acting skills. he really pulled the villain character very well.
and yeah, those dramas are exceptions. haven’t seen the blood of youth yet, but seen several clips on yt. in ancient love poetry, somehow i didn’t really enjoy his character, most likely due to (my fault) watching it not long after love and redemption.
Can anybody suggest a good romance drama/movieof him? I watched him in "nothing but u "and I'm obsessed .P.S.i…
most of his dramas are historical, if you can bear it, i’d like to recommend Love Like The Galaxy. it’s long, and the first few episodes might bore you. but in this one, wu lei’s personal character is different with nothing but you, which you can see the range of his rating is insane.
another one, i’d gladly recommend Cross Fire. plot-wise it has some similarities with nothing but you, with a soft-tone romance. there’s this girl who’s like a best friend for wu lei in the drama, but as the drama goes they develop feelings for each other. but the romance is not the main focus, it’s more about e-sport, friendship journey, family. it’s my favorite drama of wu lei after nothing but you.
