after reading the entire novel, i feel like it’s a good decision for them to split the drama into 2 parts. the novel has so many details to explore, and if they wanted to make it into final, it was either splitting it into 2 seasons or making a full-length drama with 24 episodes or more.
but i guess having a 50 mins screentime each episode is relatively new to Taiwanese BL? and it’s already a great start. so far i’ve only seen 30-40 min each ep at max, and it was only a few.
also eventhough this drama has an unfinished ending, but they ended it with such a heartwarming, promising hope. it’s not as angsty as i thought it would.
I really want to read the book, but I'll wait patiently for season 2 (I hope it happens). 🌸🌸🌸The fact…
omg i was gonna say this! very true; i love that we get to see high quality BL like this now. and i don’t even need to label this as “BL” you know, it’s just a “youth-romance” drama for me 🥹
i was discourage with the rating at first but surprisingly this one actually was a decent watch! the problem and misunderstanding resolved quickly, the story was overall pretty light and heartwarming. i love that both main leads are a green flags! and they did communicate to resolve their problem. it’s kinda refreshing to see since many kbls always have the same problem: lack of communication.
i had a good laugh watching this. the plot was not groundbreaking whatsoever, but i loved the unique dynamic between the main leads. after they finally confessed to each other, their dating era was just so cute and so them!
this is the first time i’m really invested with a drama to the point i decided to read the novel after finishing this. i can’t wait for season 2 and i hope they’ll make some good adjustments from the novel.
this lowkey has the most intimate kissing scene in kbls so far. i could feel the intensity, longing, and intimacy from their kissing. this is how you film a wonderful kissing scene from two people who are falling in love with each other. any kbls should take notes from this.
i just finished this. i was madly in love with Jiang Tian and Sheng Wang’s character throughout all the episodes. each episode is crafted beautifully. the only thing that i feel lacking is Zhao Xi and Lin Bei Ting’s portrayal in this drama, they have no chemistry and their increasing screentime towards the last episode seemed rushed and too sudden. i didn’t enjoy their story as much as i’d like to be.
i love the first two episodes, but when the second lead comes and i know it’d be a love triangle, the story gets less interesting every time he comes into the screen. i do believe adding a third party into the story is unnecessary.
regardless i love the main leads interactions, they’re just so equally matched in so many ways.
this is my comfort drama. perfect casting literally for all the characters! i don’t get it why this drama has a low rating since this deserves more than 8 point!
i just finished this and i loved it so, so much! it’s one of the fluffiest bls i’ve ever watched. no stupid misunderstandings and the story focuses solely on the main leads. no unnecessary third party or annoying side characters as well! definitely will rewatch this in the future.
also, they kissed a lot like any couple do! it feels like watching a real-life couple.
the overall story was really good but the last two episodes were just beyond anything. when they finally got together, it was explosive and their chemistry was top notch. i have only one complain: the montages during their bed scene was such a turn off.
