She did 3 vs as regular member in 2023And shot smile code as main lead and fox spirit matchmaker as support in…
yeah, i wonder why her agency sent her to a lot of variety shows and did not let her get more scripts? i heard her agency is problematic.
it’s not like i don’t like her in vs, because i do! she always shines in those. but vs is just a side show for an actor, and it would be better to have more film/drama projects.
also it’s half of 2024 now and we haven’t gotten any news about her upcoming shooting.
can anyone spoil me for these: - happy ending? - is it main leads focused drama? - how about the SML/SFL? were they annoying and did they took so much screentime?
i’m surprised Shen Yue had no dramas in 2023, like she didn’t film anything before Smile Code or Love in Pavillion? looking back at the success of ALSB and MG, she should have been casted in so many dramas now. her acting is natural and brilliant, and i believe she will do good in costume drama as well.
i just hope Smile Code will be her (another) breakthrough and give her more opportunities.
i remember that previously she had a melon rumor as the main cast for Perfect Match, alongside Wang Xingyue. looking at them in Wonderland S4, i really hope they will be casted in a new drama… their chemistry is natural and both really have an expressive eyes. i’d love to see them act together on screen.
i really hope they don’t ruin this drama with a poor script and directing. there’s nothing to see in the screenwriter’s past works, and the director itself doesn’t have a memorable drama for me.
i have no doubt with Wang Xingyue and Julia Xiang’s acting skills, and after The Double, people will pay attention more for Xingyue’s next projects. so i hope they don’t waste their potential by ruining the script or pulling so many cliche tropes.
wow what is happening, so many good dramas dropping out of nowhere. What should I start first? Any recommendations…
this one is really good! if you haven’t watched Blossoms in Adversity and The Legend of Shen Li yet, you can watch them in order after finishing The Double.
i decided to watch this because of Wang Xingyue after watching him in The Double… but i’m on episode 9 now and i still haven’t seen him in this lifetime. which ep he will appear?
regardless i found the plot was gripping and interesting. can’t believe i held on to this for so long.
started watching this because i wanted to see Xing Yue’s old projects after The Double. i’m a bit disappointed that he didn’t dub himself here. it wasn’t his voice, right? he has a really deep, nice voice that suits costume drama very well. idk why he used another voice actor for this.
you did watch the last 5 minutes right? the epilogue?
so true 😭 it was so unexpected and i felt like the writer just wanted to throw some random angst in the end. if they wanted to take this route, at least we should have a longer episode or something; a time to grief.
just finished this drama. if not for the last 15 minutes, i’d give this a perfect 10/10. regardless it didn’t really ruin the whole drama for me (since i didn’t expect everything will turn out to be all good in the end).
i usually don’t like this type of revenge/swap identity drama, but this one hooked me since the first episode. it was very well-written and all the characters, including the villain, had their own backstory.
