It’s true for any cdrama. How can non Chinese person fully grasp it although they can still enjoy what they enjoy out of it. Maybe that’s why MDL ratings are skewed toward higher end.

Of the cast Xu Kai is an actor who is trying out something new in acting.

I think this kind of shorter drama and intense story is best to binge on it because so much happening. I think it is a drama definitely rewatch worthy

Did you see currently watching is 7.76. Verified 7.13. MDL will not be kind to this drama. As long as they see slightest negativity they play to it it until it becomes reality. They not going to keep it at 8.3 until end like some drama that 8.3 all the way then drops at end. They benefit during airing. If they drop it during airing will influence viewers. Ratings is not what’s important here for Xu Kai. It’s what he’s trying to do step by step towards his goals and having to navigate professionally with his agency. He didn’t take on this for win or loss or for popularity or ratings or awards

I know someone who can usually find dramas on you tube while airing or so he says, but he doesn’t need Eng subtitles as long as there’s Chinese subtitles because he doesn’t understand Manarin but Chinese subtitles are better than English in terms of true meaning, he says. Towards end of ep1 That ominous change in expression after his exchange with his father who then turned to walk away tells me something is seriously not okay like he’s worry about something bad. They cut the scene a few seconds too fast. Don’t ask me why but I can only watched ep 1 without any sound so far but I can already read Chen Hui body language and feel his emotions esp when he got up to ask doc something his demeanor and then the way he looked concern and heaviness like heartbreak in his heart and the way he looked back at her to give reassurance I know something is not right with FL. I have no idea what’s going on until I can watch it properly but Xu Kai’s acting has lot of depth in his use of body language especially facial expressions. His acting is grounded and genuine. So much happened in the first episode plot is moving at lightning speed
