Some dramas are heavily promoted on dual platforms and CCTV too but This dramas has just basic promotion and's can only be found on one platform and it’s you tube channel and no where else, is that right?

That’s what I thought nostalgia is a longing in your heart for what was in a past time period. The characters in this story probably wished for a different fate in a different time. This drama is unlike those other nostalgic dramas of life in China. The circumstances in this story really transcends time and place.

This is not nostalgic story. It seems it’s just the opposite. It could happen anytime and anywhere. It’s about a young man who sees no other way so he is willing to take the wrong way. It’s not nostalgia about a time period in China thought the setting is 1997 in a small coal mine town.

Depending on the actor, MDL can influence a drama’s rating. It’s interesting how they eventually configure the data set to match general patterns to look organic. If you don’t track it daily and even several times a day you won’t noticed because eventually they align it to all look normal. It’s a very biased system. They seem to favor certain actors and disadvantage others like Xu Kai dramas. When those favored actors even they cannot help it you know their dramas was bad yet still get what most dramas normally get on MDL. I don’t see Douban doing it. They don’t put up a rating until the data looks stable. Their issue is others pay for water armies to flood the comments with perfect scores. I’ve never seen that with Xu Kai dramas. When that happens it takes up to 3 weeks before they can release a score.

The FL is very pretty in the promos, but the drama deliberately tones down her appearance. This kind of project won’t give you massive popularity, but it does let you sharpen your acting skills.

I saw that too. That’s Xu Kai for you. Those pretend critics don’t appreciate what real actors go through for a role, sometimes even risking health

I watched a you tube bts where Xu Kai gets involved in how to do a scene. Here he tells the guy how to hit him. He doesn’t just say hit me here. They try out different ways until he’s satisfied.

I believe like most an only child He grew up in a very loving protective and supportive family and neighborhood that supported his arts endeavors and eventually his dream . He has a solid foundation and He just happened to be naturally and exceptionally talented so he enrolled in college very young. I see him as a fine tuned actor. But sometimes gifted you are younger than your peers he would have had to deal with that socially and emotionally but it doesn’t seem to affect his acting. He comes across many years older. If I didn’t know his age I’d think he could be 30 on screen but in interviews he does appear his age his face and mannerisms still have that boyish youthful. He has a bright future he just needs the right roles. He has momentum he needs to capitalize on it

I think he would be very good in dark psychological thriller. His acting is underutilized in idol dramas.

I think he is a fine tuned actor but what’s interesting is I didn’t see any responses defending his looks only his acting.

I haven’t watched but I wanted him to have scenes that allow him to have long serious emotional dialogue. Like that scene in AB AY when they had that long argument. I really liked his acting in that scene. Idol dramas typically don’t have that kind of format.

He’s probably doing it covertly

I think UJ cp backfired on YZ. He needed that one to keep his momentum going after TD. Although he’s only 24 he’s been acting in main and leading roles for four years.

Because he’s all they got for leverage.
