Wang Xiang Yue must be gifted because he graduated from acting school at like 15? He did some acting after he graduated then joined his current agency at 17 and been in main roles produced by his agency since joining. He was already a rising star but really The Double in 2024 is where he broke through at 21 which imo is about the right age young actors break through. Usually when you get this kind of momentum you get better roles so I think 2026 hopefully should be the year he carries that momentum further with works he did in 2025. I didn’t watch but I noticed on Douban, his 2025 drama The Wanted Detective did well.

The important thing is his acting is good.

But if people are not feeling it then it means intimate feelings didn’t come through. That’s what I meant not physical intimacy not even kissing.

ADWAD was a big hit even the lovely AX loved it and esp Prisoner of Beauty she watched many times. she likes the actor so much.

The English title’Love and Crown’ has too light hearted a ring for this drama. That kind of title would be more fitting for a comedy.

“Misunderstanding” is a standard label fans like to apply loosely. I ignore it myself.

There was another drama this year like that too no intimacy and they had a baby and it broke 30000 so it’s not the details that matter.

What do you mean his dramas are edited down to 24 episodes, wasn’t that the expectation for shorter dramas? In fact, one of them someone said was originally for only 12 episodes.

Any other actor would have faded but not Xu Kai. He steadily up’s his game. For example 2024 his first CEO roles he made it his own not a cookie cutter actor. I don’t think Xu Kai was looking for typical CEO role. There were other aspects of the roles. His CEO roles were not the typical “greasy” ones that actors avoid. That’s why his fans look forward to every role limited or not. He is truly remarkable actor with unique talent and amazing personality. And imo he’s done it 💯 on his own talent and hard work despite having to navigate around his agency profit model. His agent imo has no eye for true talent. The agent wanted to invest in Idol like talent and seeing Xu Kai’s personality and goals probably didn’t fit their investment model yet to their shock imo the least of their new recruits exploded first big time but the agent imo saw him as leverage. They probably didn’t think he could sustain popularity without idol like qualities. Based on some comments YZ made if you can trust the guy but I think it’s revealing. I actually think he knows Xu Kai is very independent and smart because he mentioned on set of Royal Feast that he call for a meeting or meetings and didn’t need to invite Xu Kai because he already knows what he’s going to do. So the agency does respect his professionalism and hard work. I find him remarkable that he had a solid fan base with idol marketing.

Snow Eagle Lord is related to Huanyu partnership with the other agency and Wang Xing Yue ml for Scent of Time. I saw a clip on X of YZ bragging.

I really like his performance in Nothing But Gold. But that drama also had powerful acting of. Betty Sun. But yeah I’ve never forgotten his great performance in that drama. He’s a veteran of ancient dramas.

There’s a drama, the currently watching and completed has been 7.00 with it wrapping up this week, yet score is 7.6. If this were a Xu Kai drama MDL would have put up a 6.5 on day 1.

He is rare—both handsome and beautiful.

Avenue X continues to review dramas and actors she knows in advance she hates. She just looks for opportunities to rant about what she already hates. If you watch her enough, you learn what are biases are. But for some, she goes beyond bias, she simply has a disdain and takes every opportunity to shoot them down. She should not review dramas she considers "idol drama" because she rolls her eyes at the thought of "idol drama" unless it's her favorites in it.
