I think it's because he doesn't really have professional marketing machine, he's not really out there trying to promote himself at all, so others are doing it for him negatively. Other actors have paid promotion, some insane amount, but not Xu Kai. All his achievements are entirely organic and his own efforts, just like when he once laughed about having international fans, his fame is totally real, not manufactured. People who think fans only like him for his looks don't realize his appeal goes way beyond his good looks, it only starts there. That kind of appeal gives him a wide range of fans from teens to 100 yrs old people. That's why they have to hit his reputation because that's the only way to take him down. This is purely my observation and my opinion.

That's why it was convenient for her to be marry and still maintain her night job as Demon Lord. But Wu Zhen's mother had disclosed to Mei Zhuyu already about her past, her strange behavior returning late at night sometimes wounded.
