I didn't watch OFL after seeing a certain clip. Other than that, I have no opinion of OFL. I can relate to ABAY’s high-tech story of entrepreneurship, with whiz engineer JX and her talented engineering college friends, having been around such geniuses. It's a realistic portrayal of young, high-achieving technical people navigating their careers. It's also realistic that JX would meet HT in a college robotic project together, since engineers often participate in hackathons, robotics competitions, coding challenges, innovation contests, and maker fairs, where young prodigies like them often come out on top.

While 'Only for Love' touches on the startup world and professional growth, these primarily serve as the setting for the central romantic storyline, making their professional journey more of a backdrop to the romance. In contrast, 'As Beautiful As You' delves deeply into the AI medical field, highlighting technological advancements and exploring the future of medical AI. The story equally educates on the current state and future vision of medical AI, showcasing actual technology, materials and equipment, and the complex, intricate processes—including the use of 3D equipment— involved in making the product. It also portrays the harsh reality of startups trying to make it, especially those that want to retain autonomy. This unfolds alongside the personal and professional journeys of the main leads. It also emphasizes the human theme of using medical AI to help those in need. It navigates the competitive industry, intertwines professional growth with personal relationships, and exposes the corruption and ruthlessness within. ABAY is filled with lines that are educational, inspiring, and packed with real-life lessons worth quoting for personal and professional development.

When will this old hag who’s obsessed with the ML be gone? 😞😞 do I have to endure her presence until the…
She's a key character in the story. The actress does a great job portraying a very emotionally complex pathetic person. I think she's very good actress. In Chinese dramas, love triangles, unrequited love, and revenge plots with intense obsessions are classic themes. Zeng Di's character fits this perfectly with her childhood love turning into obsession and driving the drama’s tension.

Did u say ML or someone else got hair implant? I don’t think so.
A very minor one, they don't recommend before 30. He was probably just trying out a very minor procedure. Xu Kai is so honest opening himself up to criticism, but he doesn't seem to care what others think. Even if he gets a real hair transplant procedure later, it's no big deal. IT's not plastic surgery, but his own roots.

Bunch of stupid people roaming in the comment section, defending their favourite artist as if we can't say negative…
I don't see reactions different here except that there are consistently comments made on Xu Kai dramas, I will never find for any other drama MDL page. It's the tone, not the comment that people react to. This is my opinion.

There are lots of Xu Kai haters, so it's expected. I don't know why, but there are. Comments directed at Xu Kai dramas you will never find for other dramas. It's not giving negative feedback that makes a hater, but the tone.

Trash story line even how powerful the leads are the villains always has the upper hand.7.5/10
The villains were defeated, how is that having the upper hand. Anytime, you have an established organization of old-timers who are elitists, they become ineffective. Its' usually young smart and bold newcomers who dare to take risks and change the world.

heavy makeup is not due to age. it's in many dramas intended to create dramatic lookshttps://x.com/HANYI_778/status/1839228552786436176/photo/1
The actresses look more youthful without the heavy makeup, so it's the opposite of covering up their age.

Okay I just started this, on E10 actually and1. I'm so disappointed they turned the ex boss into a man-hunting…
Their product concepts were very competitive, and they were able to write the programs and algorithms very quickly, which shows how capable they are. However, they didn't have the capital to buy a 3D printer, which can be really expensive. Initially, SZZ's father said he would provide funding, but he backed out, leaving SZZ in a difficult situation. They decided to go ahead anyway. After all, neither of them was employed at the time. They both had savings. If they had been able to buy the printer on their own, they would have been able to produce prototypes and have a greater chance of securing funding. Without prototypes, it was difficult, and that's how she ended up with Han Ting eventually. Han Ting wrote all kinds of notes on the side of their funding brochure. JX, being the genius she is, saw his brilliant ideas, revised their product concept, and made the product even more robust. When Han Ting read their ideas, he wanted to hire them, but they turned him down because that's just who she is—a tenacious dreamer who won't back down. Trying and failing is how you learn.

SZZ had been thinking about starting his company for a while and been asking JX to review his plans and she helped him made revisions. His parents have money and own businesses. It sounds like he thought he had secured funding from his father. Seems like his father didn't believe him. The father gave him that rooftop building which is way better than most startups have.

JX quitting her job like that was the right thing to do. She'd been treated so badly at work. She reached her boiling point. She only kept that job because of Yichen, she wanted stable job and save up for a flat. She is so capable, I don't' think she should have a problem finding a job, it's just that she's so fed up with working for someone else when she's so capable.

However, given the nature of the field they are in involving patients and hospitals, I think it's very hard for them to go public. Eventually, the best they can do is merge with another company that has the resources. JX's conflicts and issues with HT was more personal than business.

Actually, you can still get funding even it's just an idea, but you have to have connections, but SZZ and JX don't have connections.

Han Ting taught JX so many valuable things based on his years of experience.

It's family drama. When did this things happen in this drama?

- He accused her, despite being the one who secretly helped her and caused the situation.
- YZM hired MCH because he knew she was the best person to secure discounts due to her connections, but it was up to her how to handle it. She was up for the challenge.
- Upon discovering the kickbacks, YZM kept it confidential due to the sensitive nature of the information and identified Dennis as the culprit.
- YZM acted correctly by removing Dennis from the company.
- The boyfriend’s father is corrupt and collaborating with Dennis. Hence, he lost the bid.

It's family drama. When did this things happen in this drama?
If she hadn't been there, they wouldn't have known that the kick back was accidently sent to her. That is why YZM told her she didn't' need to be there, but she shows up. Then He Dong was supposed to get rid of her, but she insisted. I'd have to go back to rewatch it, but I recall YZM told her she didn't' need to be at the meeting. Since she showed up, he gave her some menial work I think so she can be done and gone, but she insisted on staying. No one used her as a scapegoat. The only thing YZM did wrong was that he should have treated MCH different from other employees because she's not just his employee, she's now his family, her non biological sister through grandma and she and YZM were becoming more than just profession relationship, she mentioned that she thought she and he "were going to take care of grandma together", so she's like family now to him, but he remained ruthless toward her because he never understood what a family is. But later he starts to change his attitude toward her. But if she was just another employee, no one special to him, then he did nothing wrong at all, and being ruthless is not a crime nor immoral if you didn't do anything illegal nor purposely hurt anyone. People hire others for their connections all the time, and usually those people know it, but they are ambitious and want the job, in this case, MCH did tell YZM when she took the job, that she would achieve results without any conflict of interest with her relationship to her boyfriend. The kickback list once YZM found it, he has a fiduciary duty to the company. He has to keep it confidential.
Even grandma who recognized MCH potential to be a fierce businesswoman wrote in her letter to YZM that he having had the education abroad and worked abroad for a global company for so many years and so brilliant a businessman, she said to him that MCH lacks these skills and she hoped that he would help her to manage the hotel together, which is why he finally decided to let go. YZM gave up a huge promotion at Swiss HQ that would be steppingstone to going all the way to the top of the game for him. Instead, he chose to take the promotion that Zhang was going to get in charge of Southeast Asia area, that is actually a step down for his goals and ambitions but because of grandma, he changed. We can admire MCH but it would be quite arrogant to think that she didn't lack the experience that YZM has. YZM recognized the hotel was in bad financial shape. He helped MCH. I recall he gave her confidence and encouraged her do weddings because he used to live there growing up, he understood the hotel business, and he saw the style of the hotel what it could offer. MCH was going to take a lot of incoming internally and externally and have to learn from all that. She can learn but time was critical due to poor finances of the hotel, and YZM was helpful. She was also dealing with her mom at the ame time.

It's family drama. When did this things happen in this drama?
YZM offered her the job, knowing her connections would be beneficial—a common business practice. She initially declined, citing a conflict of interest. However, he persuaded her to accept, appealing to her ambition and the challenge it presented. If she disliked the work, she could quit, but her drive led her to take the position. MCH promised to secure the pricing discount without any conflict of interest, and YZM agreed to let her handle it her way.

YZM never used MCH as a scapegoat. He got hold of the kickback list by sheer luck due to a mistake by the person who sent it to MCH. She didn’t check what was sent to her, leading to her mistake. YZM found the list, which contained damaging information about his company. As an executive, he had a fiduciary responsibility to report it. He didn’t tell her about the kickback, as it was now confidential information.

If MCH discovered the kickback list, she would have an ethical obligation to report it to YZM or another appropriate authority within the company. Corporations require employees to watch ethics videos, and after watching them, employees are obligated to follow the practices or risk getting fired.

In fact, YZM tried to protect her, knowing her presence would put focus on her. If she hadn’t shown up as he advised, she wouldn’t have been accused because they had no idea how YZM got hold of the kickback list. He told He Dong to get her out of there.

YZM never had real family bonds before. In his confrontation with MCH afterwards, their exchange of words and his facial expressions show that he felt the weight of her words when she said, “I thought you and I would take care of grandma together.” In that moment, he realized MCH is not just anyone; he needs to tread differently with her. When he talked to his grandma, he explained that he was just trying to teach MCH a lesson, but she advised him that his methods are not always the right approach.

YZM was always trying to help MCH in the background. He was cold and ruthless in the beginning, but he has his own compelling story too.

Thing is though, why did they give the FL a middle aged style? And what the hell did they do with the male actors…
The FL is good at building robots but not at makeup or style. She relied on her friend LiLi for advice on these matters. Later in the drama, after she went to Germany for 6 months, her sense of style improved. It also marked a turning point in her life, and her style reflected it.

Who is LYN? No one in this drama has pancake on their face. Xu Kai does not wear a wig nor is there anything wrong with his hairline. I didn't notice heavy makeup on male lead. As you pointed out, these are "unnecessary" things.

This is probably the first comment to suggest the ml under 30 in a modern drama is wearing a wig, but for Xu Kai dramas, this is normal.
