And apart from looking dapper in formal suits, Xu Kai plays the part well as Han Ting is a man who expresses and speaks in equal measure.

However, Ji Xing’s innocence and non-confrontational attitude are unduly taken advantage of by her colleagues and people at work. Ji Xing has a sense of purpose which drives her, and even though she has several odds stacked against her, including her former boss Zeng Di (Kira Shi), who sets her to fail, Ji Xing perseveres. She makes it clear that she does not want Han Ting to promote her beyond his capacity of an investor and that it is for her to show him the returns. Ji Xing is also a woman who empowers other women, and there is a stark contrast between her as a boss and her former boss Zeng Di.
Tan Song Yun is vibrant in this role and fits perfectly as Ji Xing. The actor is a natural when it comes to emoting on screen—she laughs, cries, and shows the emotional graph of Ji Xing realistically and comes across as a very relatable character.

Her decision to go independent is seen as a whim, and her boyfriend Yi Chen (Gao Han) says, “I am only indulging this harebrained idea of hers, since she is bound to see that she is not cutout for business.” Though Han Ting believes in her, he is aware her inexperience in business could set her up to fail.
But there is a difference between the two men. Yi Chen feels he has become part of the backdrop in Ji Xing’s life, and it is his own insecurity and inability to embrace Ji Xing’s dreams which are too big for him to handle. Yi Chen yearns for a simple life and is unable to cope with the present not adhering to the future he had planned. He acknowledges her streak of independence and trusts her when many, including Zeng Di, warn him that investing in Ji Xing will be his greatest folly. Ji Xing’s friend Li Li (He Rui Xian) is a strong character, but her track gets lost in the ensemble cast. The show comes with plenty of drama, humor, as well as misunderstandings that our characters have to endure before the happily ever after. My interpretation of "I already forgave you long ago" is that he never needed to ask for forgiveness, her love transcends the conflicts they had so that here is no need to say I'm sorry. After that, HT never needed to use forgiveness card until at the very end of the story because....

Did Han Ting ever say, "I love you"? before the endings in 40 and 41? The last words in Ep. 40 were both of them saying, "I love you." Two people get marry and say, 'till death do us part', but is it for love or for security because if you love someone, do you really need to say it? This concept of what is love reminds me of the movie, Love Story, the famous line "love is never having to say you are sorry". That's what love does, it transcends conflicts.
