but at the end of Ep 20, it says 2014 flash back to 2008 when WangHe said he has to finish his thesis tomorrow, so I assume that was senior year in college? They were all in a car together went to see The Great Wall in Beijing, so I assume they were hanging out during college years.

they are 28 yrs old in 2014, 22 yrs old in 2008, 18 yrs old in 2004, 10 yrs old when SiYi came to Flower Street to live in 1996

2012: Assuming 4 yrs of college (2008-2012) graduation at 21/22 (for those who went to college)
2014: Current timeline Ep. 20, adult life they are 24/25 years old? In Ep. 22, Fenghua's mom said Fenghua has been developing her business for 2 years in Beijing.

I doubt that will happen

Ma SiYi is the most complex character in this drama. Her internal struggles are so deep. I feel the character SiYi really added contrast and dynamics to the group dynamics.

When SiYi came to Flower STreet, she and Fenghua were both ten years old. Then at time of college entrance exam, SiYi was 17 yrs old. This is based on what was mentioned in the drama. So I assume SiYI and Fenghua and the others would be around 18 yrs old when they graduated from high school. I guess we can do the math from there.

Over time this drama should easily get over 100K ratings on Douban. This is a drama that grows on you with each new episode.

I read the characters in this drama does not exist in the novel so unless someone has the script, no one knows how this story will unfold. In the orignal synopsis on MDL,, Si Yi disappears and returns when they all reunite back to Flower Street years later, so I think we wont' see her or much of her until last episodes my guess.

Since SiYi disappears, I expect we won't see much of her in coming episodes until they return to the Canal.

I think 7.0 is expected for this drama so it's good
