Booting ceremony was Jan 2 2024 and wrapped May 14 2024, 4.5 months. I had read XK will dub himself after finish shooting 800 Mile Radius which could be Jan to Feb 2025 so I can’t see this coming out until Summer 2025. XK using his own voice will drive up viewership because whatever u think of him, I think people are interested to hear his voice. For me, I think he has a handsome, charming voice that is very pleasing and versatile.

Clips often pop up on my YouTube feed. I recently saw one and thought: Xu Kai is meticulous and precise in his attention to detail in his character portrayals. His magnificent features enhance these details, adding elegance. For instance, after rising from his desk chair, the deliberate and purposeful way he pressed his large hands and long, slender fingers on the desk while turning the corner to approach Zeng Di, then placing both hands into his pockets—a trait of Han Ting—creates a sense of anticipation and conveys a clear message of confrontation through the pacing and timing of his movements. His actions are so seamless and smooth that I hadn't noticed them before, whether they're instinctive or the result of careful rehearsal.

I find Esther's voice acting to be top-notch, delivering excellent quality. She's super expressive and charming, with a strong, well-trained voice and a depth of experience that is truly professional quality (imo).

The Double opened with Douban of 6.8 and then dropped to 6.6 due to the ending similar to what happened to A Journey to Love which opened with Douban 7.5 but eventually fell to 6.4 because of the ending. Relatively speaking, I think 6.5 and over is an excellent score to have.

Sword and Fairy 6 is a showcase of fresh, unique, and innovative storytelling. It blends wuxia and sci-fi, focusing on the intertwining destinies and many sacrifices of its characters. Each character’s story is rich and complex, navigating themes of love, control, and fate through complex time travel elements, creating a rich and emotional journey. The chemistry and acting of the entire cast is top-notch. Many scenes feel like watching a poignant stage play, with intimate, dialogue-driven moments and meticulously choreographed fight scenes that resemble a dance performance, exuding artistic elegance. It is a great series free of soap opera traits.

I think Xu Kai's performance in BCE is praiseworthy. The producers of BCE praised him highly. People who say he played the same role never truly watched it. Xu Kai carved out his own story in BCE so well that if you don't care for the main story, the story of YZM is compelling enough to captivate you. YZM's story is inspiring (his journey, discovery, and growth), touching (his relationship with his grandmother), complicated (his personal and professional challenges), romantic (falls in love), and tragic (his father). Xu Kai showed how YZM and HT were ruthless in different ways, highlighting the distinct traits of each character.
