HT just stands staring at the door. He needs to start making a move. In the novel, he is quite the "playboy" I thought.

yes, I get you. I read parts of the novel. I recall Ji Xing said "I hate her" to HT. ZD plays dirty, is nasty and HT can see through her. He doesn't like it and tells her to stop it. She knows he doesn't like it, but she keeps doing it though. I recall in the novel, HT said to ZD that JX is more capable than her.

for me, I'm okay with her scenes. She's part of HT's past and whenever she shows up, it reveals something about HT's character traits. I think most of the ZD scenes are in the novel.

Actually, it makes sense. Li Li is a very unpretentious, down-to-earth, and loyal person who is independent and don't want to rely on a man.

I don't feel like she has that many scenes, at least not to me.

In the novel, when they went at it, Ji Xing did find Han Ting's logic makes sense.

She may learn something about him from others than lead her to doubt him. In the trailer, there is that line "Han Ting, do you love me?" HT can compartmentalize actions from emotions, driven by ambition, logic and bigger picture. Even though he is ruthless, acts lawfully and morally, but he can separate his actions from the emotional consequences that it may bring to others, and it will not impact him emotionally. It is not so black and white to Ji Xing.

I feel most of her scenes so far are necessary part of the plot, unlike some of the other couple scenes don't move the plot along but more like fillers to show there is more to life than just the main couple and to lighten the mood, add some comedy. Zeng Di is a critical component of the main story.

Zeng Di likes to mention "Grandpa" around HT, but he can care less.
Zeng Di is also not an easy character to portray, requires very nuanced acting.
HT's walk exudes perfection, power, and control. His movements are so smooth. The exquisite figure is most suitable for HT's character.
