There seems to be a unique phenomenon of negative narratives surrounding Xu Kai’s dramas on MDL, which tends to overshadow the core essence of the storylines. Interestingly, once these narrative gains momentum, others often join in, amplifying the chorus of criticism. Interestingly, this pattern doesn’t seem to occur with other dramas on the platform.

In the group picture, everyone is paying attention except for XK and LXY can be found way in the back, chatting away in their own world, just like in ALP, the two of them are together. https://x.com/iamasinus/status/1796788323551490440/photo/1

There are no pictures of XK with any of this female leads or other actors at the GQ event. Only see pictures of him with Liu Xue Yi and GQ director, and non-celebrities.

Not a dull moment for me. There are many scenes I can watch over and over again. The drama is rich with characters: Shang Gu/Ho Chi + Bai Jue/Qing Mu/Box Xuan, Bai Jue/Qing Mu + Tian Qi/Jing Yuan, Shang Gu/Ho Chi + Tian Qi/Jing Yuan, Tian Qi + Yue Mi, Shang Gu + Yue Mi, Bai Jue + Hong Ri, Fen Ran + Jing Jian, Hou Chi + Fen Ran, Mu Guang + Wu Huang, Ho Chi + Gu Jun, Qing Mu/Bai Jue + Jin Zhao, Qing Mu/Bai Jue + Gu Jun, Qing Mu + Jing Jian, Bai Jue + Yuan Qi. Hong Ri is not in the drama that much, but the drama was still able to cause me to feel emotional about his relationship with Bai Jue and his interactions with Shang Gu were sweet and entertaining even though brief. It's due to the story, the writing, the casting is very excellent.
The acting between the main leads is so real, it's unreal. In other words, their acting is so believable and natural that it feels like you’re watching real people, not characters in a story. How the characters relate to each other is like watching a real-life couple. They make the most simple and ordinary scenes alone together so emotionally rich and resonant. Their love story develops naturally over time. They face and overcome many challenges together, not just arguments or misunderstandings, but also serious threats to their lives. This makes their relationship strong and lasting.

It's called a tragedy. The worst kind of regret in life are those that you can never reconcile.
I've watched enough Chinese dramas to pay close attention to every line because it's never wasted but used to tell the story or foreshadow of things to come.
He really does have the air of Han Ting.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Os79JzqMXc
someone posted: During an interview when asked about the most memorable scene, #XuKai thought for a moment & said, "It must be the scene where Han Ting & Ji Xing get married. They are running on the square with pigeons by their side.

There were clues. I recall YZM having some fond memories of his father playing with him when he as a little kid. MCH had explained everything to YZM, so he realized his father had changed, but it's not clear that YZM ever forgave his dad.
