Well they aren't unbiased . Have their own biases against those who are always attacked . Kai is someone who is…
MDL puts their own judgment into rating to a certain extent. Of course they’re not going to be obvious about it. If it’s an actor they don’t like and they sense enough negative sentiments to support down rating, they will take opportunity to feed that, which seems to happen to Xu Kai dramas. However, if it’s an actor they like and see sentiments are strong they will put up higher rating to make it reality. You know the drama is bad if they can’t even support a higher rating for their favorite actor. Then MDL will manipulate data patterns to match so all looks consistent as if it’s organic because patterns match for all ratings
So, here's another series where Xu Kai's popularity was used heavily to promote the show, but he's hardly been…
Screen time? Towards end of ep1 That ominous change in expression after his exchange with his father who then turned to walk away tells me something is seriously not okay like he’s worry about something bad. They cut the scene a few seconds too fast. Don’t ask me why but I can only watched ep 1 without any sound so far but I can already read Chen Hui body language and feel his emotions esp when he got up to ask doc something his demeanor and then the way he looked concern and heaviness like heartbreak in his heart and the way he looked back at her to give reassurance I know something is not right with FL. I have no idea what’s going on until I can watch it properly but Xu Kai’s acting has lot of depth in his use of body language especially facial expressions. His acting is grounded and genuine. So much happened in the first episode plot is moving at lightning speed
Are historical cdramas usually this gooood??This drama reminded me so much of Empress ki. Strong female lead,…
POJ is primarily a fantastic fairy‑tale fantasy, and only secondarily a fictional historical setting. Other dramas like JOL are fictional as well, but they focus more heavily on dynasty politics, incorporating clever make‑believe elements.
This neck bite was in the novel. I am mad they actually filmed it but didn't include it in the drama. WHY? WHY?…
In the drama it was underwhelming to me because I never saw anything happen. It would have been more effective if they just hint at it for a second as they often do in dramas when they can’t show it but they made it much more like it was a big deal yet I never saw anything

The entertainment industry manufactures and chases hype for profit, and you hope actors don’t get reduced to predictable roles or images because of that. Bottom line Hype brings in money.
One would think they are actually the biological brothers...they are the same kind of psycho. Elder brother is…
I actually got the feeling they cared about each other in their own twisted minds which is why I found the acting the portrayal exquisite by these two actors. I think they actually portrayed demented younger and older sibling relationship so well. These are highly complex and entertaining villains. Villains make a story fascinating. The rating is high not because of any core element but many each done very well that captured a wide audience. So if you didn’t like something there was something else
MDL steers the reaction to influence perception.
A 9 sparks curiosity.
A 7.8 sparks suspicion.
