I first caught on to "soon" when I first started following Xu Kai dramas and Xu Kai said in some interview that Wonderland of Love is "coming soon," and it didn't' come until November. It's all relative. If Xu Kai says soon, it just means it'll be coming later this year. He has no control of the timing.

the director of POJ came from a micro drama background and POJ was his second long form. He is able to merge micro into long form which I think this director of Overdo not as good at this skill. With micro/AI trends, directors are having to adapt. But I think actors shouldn't do too many of these types of formats because it doesn't allow them to improve depth since the director uses camera tricks.

I think this has to be a big budget, it's a flagship product meant to be a blockbuster, no?

So many comments on intros here. I'm not criticizing this intro, but it got me thinking about intros, and I think intros are important. An intro that is well done sets the mood. There are a couple of dramas I love, and every time the intro pops up, especially the music, I feel the emotions of the story right away, and it makes me want to watch the episode again. Especially a recent drama I watched — the intro is so well done, its main characters, the entire story, the emotions run through my mind and heart. Some dramas you watch a few times already, so you skip the intros, but then you just want to feel the story again. The intro, short as it is, gives you that feeling without having to watch the entire drama again. And the intros I'm thinking of are just like beautiful art and stills or scenes from the drama. The music is critical to the mood. Maybe after this drama is done, people will like this intro more?

I actually think Cantonese tones bring out his depth of his voice more than Mandarin, and because he has such a playful way about him, the tones can bring that out too. Mandarin has 4 tones and Cantonese has 6 to 9 tones. Also, his Cantonese sounds like the way they speak it in Hong Kong or Guangzhou. It's the best sounding Cantonese, I think.
