that's why she said that it is a nice time while working with him 🥰🥰
Yang Zi said at the Tencent awards that Xu Kai is a super funny guy. Who wouldn't enjoy being around someone like that, relaxed and know how to have fun, instead of uptight people.
The humble Xu Kai must be so thrilled to work with such great talents as Yang Zi and Wu. Yang Zi is one of the Four Dan actresses of the post 90's generation. The 86-year-old grandmother played by Wu Yan Shu, born in Guangzhou, Guangdong, is considered a National Class-A Actor in China. Premier Zhou Enlai invited her to perform Liu Hulan in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. In this teaser, the way Yang Zi says "Come" sounds exactly like Cantonese, like the tone and manner of speaking in a Cantonese family when teasing, or else Mandarin sounds that way too.. there are a lot of Mandarin words that sound exactly Cantonese. But this family is in Shanghai. Is there a connection to Southern China in this drama family? Xu Kai is from Southern China.
This is a wonderful drama. The amazing story of Li Ni and Cui Lin - against all odds yet they persist to defy the odds. Li Ni, The Best Male Award!
It will continue to attract more viewers for a long time. When it first aired, the first article I saw was "I'm not seeing any discussions on this drama". Over on Viki, the rate of increase has been constant and steady since it aired, it is possible for it to grow to over 40,000 by end of 2024. I stopped tracking it long ago since it was so solid. I just noticed the Viki rating has gone up from 9.5 to 9.6 (I hate to mention it since there are so many Xu Kai saboteurs). Xu Kai dramas are never overrated! if anything, they are underrated.
I love Xu Kai and Esther. They were so cute together but I lost interest toward the end. I don't know what it…
It is understandable since S&F is not a true romance drama but a classic storytelling of tragedy and heroism than usual idol dramas boy meets girl and falls in love. SAF6 is a complicated and unique Xianxia story of human heroes instead of immortals and Gods. Episode 35, Esther emotional noodle scene has been praised by so many esp. gaming community, the hardest critics.
"unforgettable, stunning and eye-catching every time he appears in costumes" "fresh and refined temperament, and delicate acting skills" "outstanding performances" "high-profile new generation actor" "in-depth understanding of the character" "excellent acting skills" "unique aesthetics fof ancient costumes" "Xu Kai successfully created th heroic image of Li Ni, which is impressive" "every scene in the costume drama demonstrates his grasp of the character's emotions and superb acting skills." "he shows unique charm in all costume roles" "in SAF6, he skillfully showed the character's inner struggles and growth process in the drama, which was unanimously recognized by the audience"
Nothing has been announced, and as far as I can tell no rumors either. I’m sure he’s considering scripts/options…
I just happened to come across this video: "According to Online News, Xu Kai's next costume drama "Splendid Future" has been registered and will launch soon, and he will partner with Zhao Lusi. It is adapted from a popular novel called "The Eldest Princess and the Divorced Empress". The plot combines many elements such as marriage before love, court disputes, and sadomasochism. It has a profound narrative, twist and turns, ancient legend, intense emotional conflicts, and court intrigues. Xu Kai will play role of Ji Changfeng, the character has both bravery and fighting skills of a young general and the gentleness of a prince showing a rich and multi-faceted personality. As a young general, Ji Changfeng must experience wars and battles shows his brave side. As the crown prince, he had to face court disputes and family responsibilities, showing a gentle and elegant side."

I saw a video of a cat also waiting for him outside his apartment where every morning he runs out to go to work. Cats instinctively knows who a kind person is and will adopt people.
I first came across this actress Tian Xi Wei in New Life Begins and click onto one episode and got hooked and watched the rest. I was really impressed by her and was even more struck by the male lead's performance. TXW is overflowing with personality.
I hope Moonlit Reunion is a serious role for Xu Kai, really like him in serious roles.
now xu kai has one more breed of cat ...https://www.youtube.com/shorts/AgAXIR_C62w
I 'm going to guess the bossy one is the hairless cat, the glutton one is the Maine breed and the clingy one is the ragdoll he calls Princess. I really like the Maine cat, so much character in the face. I wonder how long he's had these cats because I don't see how he has time for them.
Yu Shu Xin is portraying a mentally challenged girl so well. I've not seen any of her shows before, she is good.
For me watching this drama, all the characters are mature and intelligent, except for that little girl and the Qiyun sect people are not too smart but they are side characters. Qi is very smart but socially challenged in the social norms and behaviors since she's only had 3 yrs of experiences and isolated only have Jinzhao to learn from, and Jinzaho teases her mercilessly, but once they joined forces with others, she experienced so much and learned very quickly. Perhaps "mentally challenged" from the perspective that Jinzhao was overly protective of her so she didn't get to think for herself, make decisions for herself, as she always looked up to him, respected him, thought he was the smartest, most competent person who could solve every problem they encountered, and listened to everything he asked her to do. But later, she starts to learn to think for herslef, and even learn to make egg noodles, and Jinzhao realizes that Qi may not need him in the future, and in one scene, he realizes Qi can now think for herself and make good decisions, that if he's not around anymore, she will be fine, but Qi will let him know that she cannot live without him, and he realizes the same. In a sense, they were truly "made " for each other.

What period of Chinese history is this drama set in?
