I don't understand why people say Xu Kai works too much and need to work less.. why?
He makes about three dramas a year, same as most actors.

I watch his interviews. He always answers from his heart sincerely and is not afraid to show his vulnerabilities. He says he is very self-aware. That's why he is so humble and always acknowledge those better than him, and say I work hard and try to get better and better step by step. Even five years ago, he was interviewed, and the guy said to him "netizens say they don't like you, they like the character Fuca Fucheng" and his response was so great. He said, "that is reasonable..." and then he explained so eloquently why, but I can't remember details what he said.

This drama has no stupid or delusional characters. The main characters are intelligent and mature (most of all Qi).

Episode 19, Gu who is guardian of Pureness can see the future, said to Jinzhao: "The future can be changed. Even if the future is a mess, you have Miss Yue with you".

and Gu gave Jinzhao a coin so he can remember not to doubt what he said.

I say it because I will randomly watch some SAF6 gameplays, and I just don't see how another adaptation can do a better job of capturing the game characters looks and personalities. When I watch the gameplay characters, I think of the drama characters, and vice versa, it's uncanny.

I don't know the game ending nor the drama ending. but I tend to think that it will not be a happy ending, but I will be okay with it as long as the drama stays true to the original theme of SAF6 and is satisfactory to the audience.

I doubt another adaptation of SAF6 can do better than this drama.

I still behind in ep 19 but I feel like Bian is the main character in this story even though it is a group story, because he is the most unfortunate and conflicted one. I like Xu Kai portray of Bian because Xu Kai is at his best when he portrays characters who have deep feelings.

besides Qi's mother who has a dark side, there is also Maiming or Luo Li Ming also has a dark side, for their own self interests. I don't think they are necessarily villains. They are acting out of despair to save themselves or others. I"m not sure if Xuwei does bad stuff but really, no one in this drama is true villain. Everyone is trying to save someone. This drama is not about good versus evil like what you typically find. IT is quite thought provoking. The theme seems to be a moral one. The key characters are the strongpoint of this drama which is why they focus so much on them. if you enjoy dramas that have a lot of character interactions, and the acting is quite good.

I'm still perplexed why Ying Xuwei (BLH older brother) would activate the self-destruct mechanism at the Qiyuan Sect's main base and risk danger to Qi and Jinzhao which is counter to their plans.

I haven't read Viki comments for long time now. There are too many ridiculous comments and ratings bring it down. Xu Kai has never had a drama below 9.0 on Viki until now and this drama doesn't deserve below 9.0 on Viki. Even Snow Eagle Lord is over 9.0.

He has a lot of scenes in Wonderland of Love. I love his character, Li Ni. I'm glad you mentioned Royal Feast. I actually think his portrayal of Zhu Zanji is perfection and his expressions are masterful once you understand the character. I watched the Xu Kai scenes in Royal Feast a few times. Everytime I think of Zhu Zanji, I feel like I know him well. Xu Kai always brings out the character so well in every drama. He does not overact which is why I enjoy watching his drama. I never feel like I'm watching Xu Kai. When I am watching his dramas, I am totally immersed in the wonderful characters he brings to life in his dramas. I like his expressions and body language which he just does naturally (it's just part of who he is, the way he's built, not something that can be imitated) which is what draws me to his dramas. He needs dramas that allow him to express emotions. That is his strength and the director in WOL played to Xu Kai 's strengths. I hope Xu Kai can star in another drama with this director.
