This is slow burn drama. To those who can’t stand this type better don’t watch
I like slow burn dramas and was pleasantly surprised that it actually kept quite a steady pace throughout. I found myself not fast forwarding through any parts. Which I've done a lot more, even for shows I enjoyed more than this one.
The basics are similar. Including initial story and even having two main couples. Both are romcoms, but I think this one has a bit more heart and emotional moments. Especially because of the ML's medical condition which is real.
I think his role in FLAW is very refreshing since Siwoo is happy, positive, youthful. His best performance so far has been Navillera which was a very emotional and heartfelt performance. And his other lead roles (Nevertheless/Love Alarm) have been him being a jerk aka "bad boy". Sweet Home is also a far different genre as well. So him in FLAW allowed him to show a different side of his acting and he did a good job.
12 episodes was fine for this story. The main draw for these kinds of plots is seeing how the initial "lie" is dealt with, how the character has to maneuver themselves out of trouble, etc. And then after the secret is revealed/character gets caught, how the main couple eventually admit their true feelings to each other. Business Proposal settled both parts pretty early on and the final episodes were simply about the two couples enjoying their relationships. Which usually is saved for the finale since the conflict is usually over by then.
Can someone recommend me a similar drama? I need something light and fluffy like this :)
"Secret Life of My Secretary" - Kinda similar storyline and both the main couples are great in tthe drama as well, just like here on Business Proposal. A thoroughly stress-free, wholesome and sweet romcom. With some nice emotional and deeper moments thrown in too.
I love I'm Not a Robot and Strongest Deliveryman. Coming from A Piece of Your Mind, you get to see her versatility with those two series. She can really do drama and comedy and romance so well.
Her role in Rookie Cops is probably the least interesting character she's played so far. She was fine in it, but especially after a string of such strong, dynamic roles and performances, Rookie Cops was like a step back.
It was a cute drama. Nothing groundbreaking. I feel the romance is a bit forced. Though Jung In Sun always delivers in each of her roles. The most interesting part of the show was showing the drama between friends in an idol band. They ticked off the boxes, but the characters helped make you care.
This is one of those, 'if you know, you know, if you don't know, you won't get it' dramas. The understanding and…
And you don't even have to apply the themes to just religion, but even the cult of personality with celebrities and even politicians. There's some pretty universal ideas here I think.
