This was probably the blandest drama that had all the pieces it needed to be a bit better. If you want, you could watch it at 2x speed and still capture the same amount of emotion and connection as if you had watched it at normal speed.
Good cast. But a very tired premise that other shows have done better. There were no surprises. Really a paint-by-the-numbers story. Nothing offensively bad. But nothing particularly great either. So in the end, you just feel apathy.
I totally forgot Chimon was also in this. So I was so happy to see him in the trailer. And then Perth too! Love all four of them, so I am even more excited for this now! I'm ready for romantic mob drama angst! lol
I mean, with this kind of story, it wouldn't be a surprise. It would actually be kind of expected to have a tragic ending. So we'll see how it goes. Sometimes the journey getting to the end , happy or sad, is still one worth having.
The fact that Japanese fans seem to be quite supportive and excited about this.
The creator of the manga Yuu Toyota is also supportive and excited for this as well. I trust the creator more than bitter fans who want to gatekeep. lol
They probably casted TayNew because New is literally turning 30 next year, so their age is fitting with the actual…
They don't necessarily have to adapt everything line-for-line. So they will change some things to fit both Thai culture/audience and TayNew's strengths as well.
I was surprised but so happy to see him in One Dollar Lawyer! He has really showed his versatility in his roles so far. And he's definitely shown he is ready for bigger and lead roles!
Just finished watching the series and it is very different from what I expected based on how the webtoon is described. I enjoyed it. But I can only imagine how fans of the webtoon might receive this series.
i am so glad they did not shoehorn any romance between Taecyeon and Eunji's characters. I know many other dramas that deal with revenge/suspense/mystery/crime that force romance between the leads where it doesn't belong. That Blind didn't force something is enough to give it higher ratings.
If you want an actual drama about law and solving cases, Law School is much better. This drama is more about the characters' relationships rather than law or justice.
