This was surprisingly so boring despite its big name ensemble cast and the expectation of shiny fast cars and late 80s nostalgia. Also, far too long too. They easily could've chopped off an hour from the runtime and it would be the same movie.
I feel like there was a bit of tonal whiplash throughout these first chunk of episodes. Still good, but it feels like the pieces didn't fit together as well as they should have. I dunno.
Aside from little Min Ah and all her interactions with every character, I think one of my favorite parts of the series is how much the janitress was a part of the story. I really loved how they used her character to really highlight the kindness of In Seong's character. But also to put a spotlight on people like her who are so unfairly treated by others. It speaks to the overall message of the series.
They wrapped up all the stories pretty well. And the ratings weren't that great. But a season 2 would have to be Sun Ja and Min Jae leading the new Theia class in 2022/23
Aside from his obvious mental issues, I think he liked Yoo Min (the former captain) and was jealous when she began dating their fellow squad member. He felt that relationship ruined the squad before. And now he felt like it was happening again with Hae Yi and Jung Woo. So he was taking out his previous grievance on her in the present.
Yes if you like an easy to watch show about youth and friendships. The friendships are really the main focus of the series and "Cheer Up" definitely explains the overall vibe. Just college students making friends and lifting each other up.
Well, it's not exactly impossible. Family members can treat eachother nice, but other people like trash, so it…
You're missing the point. They kept saying, -telling- Chanmi that he was bullying people (upon orders of Osung of course) and the best example the show gave/the only "victim" of that bullying Chanmi met was a manipulative girl who deserved the mockery she got.
I'm just saying, if they wanted to make that part of the show more believable, they could have done one or two easy fake-outs showing Wonseok in the act, but out of context, for example. To help support any potential doubt of his true character. But when the only direct example we and she received was of a "victim" who deserved what she got, regardless of what one thinks of Osung, then it makes things less believable.
And you make it seem like he was keeping a whole book of secrets from her. The two secrets she eventually learned of about him, one of them he was going to tell her the next day when they were meeting in person and the other was directly related to that first secret.

I'm just talking about what the show told us. Actually, Chanmi wasn't even told of what he actually did to warrant widespread disgust. Like, no one said he was going around knocking people out or pouring milk on their heads or even just insulting them. They just said he was the worst human being who deserved to die and that's it. Not even just being a simple bully. But majority of the kids actually having no problem he died.
The only specific example they gave (and Chanmi got) was that fake pregnant girl who honestly deserved getting embarrassed like that (with only 4 other people in the gym). Chanmi didn't go looking for more proof. She just automatically doubted her brother.
