Thinking about it now, the Quest 4 challenges felt much more finale-worthy than these final challenges. And using the Greek god theme for a final Quest makes more sense too.
The reaction shots from the eliminated players was so annoying and unnecessary. Yes Cha Hyunseung and Jeong Hansaem are hot, but i dont need to see them or anyone else gasping or acting shocked by every little grunt and moan by the finalists. I know it's a Korean variety show element to have all that. But it really took away from the tension and excitement of the final Quest.
What did the cop's son do to make his own dad think he is a serial killer. It can't be just the plant food found…
I thought it was implied that the dad was a horrible person. So many something like being abusive, that's why he acknowledged he may have caused the son to become a killer. And of course allowing Oh Jun Yeong to use that as he took over the son's life. I'm not sure.
These first two episodes were a perfect way to kick off the show's return. It had so much for fans of the first season and should still have been easy to engage new viewers as well.
This was surprisingly so boring despite its big name ensemble cast and the expectation of shiny fast cars and late 80s nostalgia. Also, far too long too. They easily could've chopped off an hour from the runtime and it would be the same movie.
I feel like there was a bit of tonal whiplash throughout these first chunk of episodes. Still good, but it feels like the pieces didn't fit together as well as they should have. I dunno.
Aside from little Min Ah and all her interactions with every character, I think one of my favorite parts of the series is how much the janitress was a part of the story. I really loved how they used her character to really highlight the kindness of In Seong's character. But also to put a spotlight on people like her who are so unfairly treated by others. It speaks to the overall message of the series.
