I really only cared about Chan Young's story. The idea of feeling like a "replacement"/"stand-in" and inadequate is a very relatable feeling and I thought his character got the most actual development through the course of the series. Lee Seo Won was also great in the role. Everything else was just meh and romance angle was very flat.
It was an okay drama. 8 eps is perfect for it. But I was honestly more interested in the secondary couple Woo Jae/Jae Yi than the main couple and whole mystery about her past. Also Byungchan was a scene stealer was Yoo Shin. But otherwise, an overly familiar story with nothing really new to offer.
Can someone explain how Ae Gyo lived as Su Ryeon? Or what that situation is supposed to be? I don't get it. SR has always been with DT since he took her back to Korea. So when has AG supposed to have lived as SR? Some dialogue makes it seem like AG has lived as SR for years.
Yukjo is such an irrelevant character. And the fact that...
Sun Oh has to ~settle~ for her in the end after coming to terms with Jojo choosing Hye Young when not once did he show that he has any feelings for her is the worst thing they did to his character. And it also says a lot about her how she essentially stuck to him like a leech when she knew he didn't like her.
I hopped on the bandwagon and binged the first season. And I cannot believe I have to wait 24 more episodes just to finally see these horrible people get what they deserve! lolol Torture!
He is one of the most versatile young actors today! He's already played so many different characters both as a lead and in supporting roles (where he was able to shine as well). Excited to see what projects he has lined up in the future!
I don't think the number of Kdrama you have watched would indicate how well you would receive this show. With…
As I pointed out, I was talking about all the conspiracy theories trying to explain why the drama didn't end up the way people wanted it to.
Judging from what you're saying about "male lead characteristics," it appears you're pretty set in your views. And I'm not really interested in debating over a show that really isn't that deep enough to require overanalysis like I'm seeing here.
I don't get these comments. Have none of you ever watched a Korean drama before? The show was great, but very familiar and even predictable. It was pretty obvious from the start who Dal Mi would end up with. All these conspiracy theories about last minute rewrites? What in the world? The story pretty much unfolded the way a typical K-drama romcom would.
At the same time, the romance angle wasn't even the most interesting part of the series. And it appears every other theme from the series went right over people's heads. Yikes.
Umm... no. And if that actually were the case (which it is not), then there's something very twisted in Korean society.
