True. Hua Zhi being like grandma and her grandpa's favourite
I love how they portrayed Grandma's character. She was also a badass girl, but life happened, and to keep the family together and make the children disciplined, she had to assume the role of a typical mother/mother-in-law/grandmother. It'd be interesting to see the friendship between her & Empress Dowager. This drama is constantly raising my expectations high for every character🥺 🥺
I loved the way he stabbed the son and broke the father's arms. Well deserved for those two scound*els!
Can't wait for Shao Yao and Shen Huan's first interaction / altercation! I think we may see a new side of SY confronting those people coming to bully her Hua jiejie.
They should include more scenes of Grandma Hua and Grandpa Hua's younger selves. They are so sweet!; their story is amazing, and the two actors really have spark between them 😍.

Finally, GYX arrived as the martial arts teacher. Those guards were making me feel awkward through the screen, eww... I just hope Yan Xi stays in the room that HZ allotted to him. He can move out after kicking those guards out of the Hua family's door. I think that the main guard's son will try to take advantage of the new maids. I just hate watching such things in dramas, and it shouldn't happen in this drama at all!

Earlier, I used to think that the Emperor doesn't care much about Hua family's women so he didn't interfere in Empress Dowager's decision to spare them but he made it clear in Epi 13 that he bears a grudge due to this and actually wanted to punish the whole Hua family😡

The way that family acted about a marriage which wasn't even finalized as if Hua family implicated them in to this even after knowing that Hua Yi Zheng wasn't wrong in his stance at all... I think their behaviour actually revealed their true colours. Nobody expected them to help at all lol... Well, Good riddance for Hua zhi☺️

SML's family was about to send betrothal gifts to FL's but FL's whole family was punished - the male members were exiled to the North and female members were spared because of Empress Dowager but all their properties,etc. were seized. So, SML's family quickly showed their colours and wanted to cancel the wedding. Later, the wedding was cancelled but by FL. Though SML is innocent and wanted to marry FL but he is powerless against his father and brother.
Sorry for the long rant and spoilers but FL is unmarried and till 12th episode, SML stands absolutely no chance. And FL is busy making money💰 and expanding her business👸🏻
Yeah that scene with Qin left a bad taste in my mouth and I thought Hua Zhi recognized how off putting that guard…

And yes, Hua zhi discovered it in the beginning itself but that guard came with 15 other guards and was literally forcing the Huas to reinstate them. So she was kind of forced to give permission but I think she has a plan. But it's just that that main guard just has too much guts or may be he thinks he can get his way because the house only consists of women now. So, I want him gone asap.
That Darn Emperor wants GYX to investigate Empress Dowager and Hua family's link/relationship?? Why does it sound like he wants either to frame Empress Dowager or implicate the Hua family falsely(again!) or he wants to accomplish both at one strike🤕

But ofcourse even 2 episodes worth of Hua family women's regressive actions can't annoy me as much as 2 minutes screentime of Yan Xi's stepmother.. She definitely has to do something with GYX's mother's death and Shao yao is the only eyewitness so it's more or less clear why she doesn't want SY to receive 'good treatment' and get well.
The shopping scene of HZ & GYX is adorable and they look damn good in that couple outfit + SQ made a reentry but he is still so simple-minded *sigh* Shen huan is cute! Can't wait for his and Shao yao's scenes😍
The major takeaway for me in today's episodes were Grandpa Hua and Grandma Hua. Both are thinking about eo... They are so wholesome😭 And that glimpse of their lovestory omg the cutest🥺♥️
When Qi Huilan and Hua Zhi's mother asked Shao Yao about his brother's employment status, did Shao Yao just shake her head, indicating "No," implying that Yan Xi is unemployed?😭🤭 Lol! It's all GYX's fault. He only asked Shao Yao not to let out the 'secret' that they are from the Gu family.. Baby SY just followed her brother's advice so that her Hua Jiějiě wouldn't be upset😌
