Good, but the ending was a bit abrupt to suit my tastes. The series works because it's characters are 100% squishy-lovable and the direction and acting are very good. BUT, obviously total child-like fantasy, a 5 YO living on his own, controlled by lawyers from afar? As if there's no chance total strangers would be abusive yet the reason he lives alone is due to an abusive father? I guess though, that it wouldn't be novel if perhaps it was just a kid placed with a temporary, foster family or some similar situation. All in all, I do recommend it for those who like lite family/comedy dramas
"Heung Su, I knew you'd be cured" Very good movie about two friends, a gay man and a straight woman, like the best siblings, who show you what it's all about
Thoroughly enjoyed this simple, straight forward family story. Not overwritten and not underwritten. Very good direction and acting. Watched it twice, a few years apart. If you can find a mate in real life like the FL character, do everything right, to keep her (and the grandpa too)!
Could not continue after 7 episodes. The only characters I liked were the brothers and that's about all. Shin Hy Sun was made for miserable character parts! The father character was overly dramatic and really, just pathetic and useless. Call me when one of these tormented characters stand up for themselves and others!! Too much like an old American soap opera 😳
laid-back, cozy, warm, atmospheric slice of life. very good but as others have said, too short. seems like many of the dramas i like are too short and "incomplete" and many of the dramas are too long and contain needless, contrived filler
Stopped during episode 3- tried three times to continue but it just couldn't grab me. Could be it was simply not my style. The angst of some of the characters was a bit cringe-worthy sometimes. The pacing/dialogue seemed rushed too often. Maybe I wasn't patient enough to see it through but I feel it is overrated. It might please a lot of people, so don't hesitate to give it a try.
Great psychological tension. Great use of lighting or lack thereof. Very good acting. Enjoyed this mini-series very much but you have to like snails and turtles, albeit, intelligent snails and turtles! Satisfying ending. Matsushige is, indeed, a master artist, literally and figuratively! Mr. Grumpy Face- Midnight Diner, anyone? By the way, most parts of water lilies are edible- the flower, leaves, seeds and tubers- caution: some tubers are very bitter and therefore not edible- do your homework first before considering
I stopped and restarted a few times trying to give it a chance and finally gave up at episode 8. Very overrated and I rate it at about 5.0. For a comedy, romance, family, crime drama- it's not funny, not romantic, amateurish crime and not much focus on family. Don't have a clue who the intended target audience might have been.
Very good, simple, honest, mature drama without the constant immature angst and introduction of contrived plot pins and needles. I wish more were like this even if it could have been a bit more interesting/had a bit more "heat".
❗❓❗ Anybody- please, recommend similar series that also don't try to incorporate multiple genres or too many plot branches (i consider this a combination of family/food/slow burn romance)
Quit after episode 5, but really should have stopped watching earlier, all because of poor writing. I mean, even fiction at it's most fictitious doesn't have characters doing and saying one stupid thing after another. On top of that, although the lead actors are now veterans, at the time they were terrible actors. However, Kanno was a very good actress even back then and some of the others played their roles well.

Hit me baby, hit me as hard as you love a dead man 🥴
