Is the FL fickle or just a liar? To give someone hope like that and then leave him to travel the world? When he has been there for her, helped her through so many crises? Her words are not to be believed? This is making me so disappointed in the script for the FL. Please help me understand this.

Someone please help me understand. Why say something then completely do the opposite to someone that you supposedly love?

@MeowMiu Hear hear. Unfortunately, great actors and actresses are hard to come by. More often than not, if they look good, they keep getting parts: for example, Guli somebody or rather - she's gets so many big roles - it frustrates me - Did you watch A Tale of Weaving? What crap. Of course, a bad script is just as much to blame.

@MeowMiu You've hit the nail on the spot. There are so many factors that are intangibles with one is acting. In the Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms, the ML - Mark Chao, besides Yang Mi is a huge reason for its success. Too bad he's not acting in any more roles - at least according to MDL. The romantic scenes are i would say, one of the most passionate scenes i've ever seen in Chinese dramas

Agree with @Quicksand. FL does not have the acting skills set of more creditable actors. She has those dead eyes and is unable to emote expressions except for smile, pout, look far away and angry. Beyond that, there's not much else she can do.

I have to say this is my first cooking drama. I don't normally watch such shows because I'll put on weight just from googling the sumptuous spreads. I watched this because of Ethan Juan - what a performance in Legend of Fuyao. Well after watching all the way to ep37, I have to say I am extremely disappointed in the progression or lack thereof of the characters. The bad ones get worse and have no redeeming qualities. Is there no hope for the good guys?

Watched up to ep 22. It will be tough having to wait till Sunday to continue the journey. So far enjoying the main leads and 2ML. Zheng Ye Cheng is quite cute with his playful role. SUMO - what can i say - his facial micro movements and gestures allow me to feel his love and hunger ... for BaiYing's affection. Does anyone know how the drama ends? Is it going to be sad ending? Does someone die?

Agree with you. Work is stressful enough without having to be stressed when watching a C drama. I watch these for enjoyment - some angst, evil, sadness is ok but when almost the whole drama shows the bad buys winning or getting away with stuff, that is just not my cup of tea.

@Val W Thanks for revealing this part. I had watched till ep 16 then stopped for the episodes to catch up. Have been reading the comments here and my goodness - it didn't seem as though the good guys were capable of a win. Thanks to you, I will now continue to watch from ep 17. I dislike being frustrated by the evil in the drama (let alone IRL), so THANK YOU Val W. Appreciate you.
