Can someone please explain what knives in the viewing calendar mean? i notice there are multiple knives on ep 48?

I agree with your points of view on the above. Shifu and Haishi - this relationship is so torturous. Some of the moves are so cruel - making Tilan drink that decoction every time he is with her. Shifu throwing away the flowers - I know he does not want to give her hope but man, stop running hot and cold. Shouting is the only guy that is consistent.

Avenuex - she said she watched up to ep 12 - It's not possible to comment on a drama and do the review justice by just watching 12 out of 48 episodes. Having said that, she does have a bunch of subscribers, so obviously people do listen to her opinions on dramas.

Sorry to be a wet blanket but if you look at Haishi's character (eg. when she told FZ she wanted to be with him)- she's straightforward and doesn't play games. For a military strategist like FZ who's supposed to be very insightful, if he used another woman to push HaiShi away from him, then perhaps he really did not want her - he never specifically told her he loved her so maybe he does think of her as just his student.

Some random thoughts - how can it all end well for any couple?? (rhetorical question). One is in love with a blind girl who is charged with looking after the spy network. The next couple, emperor has r**ped his consort and making her take concoctions to abort any foetus. The third has the Shifu pushing HS away by bringing another lady into the picture and then pushing her to the emperor. So, i ask again -- how can any one of these couples have a happy ending?

I agree with you. While there's the Baixi connection with the emperor, having the notion that pushing her away by bringing another lady into the picture is just cruel.

If the Baixi bond thing is a transferable thing, the shouldn't it be true that whatever pleasure the emperor experiences, FZ will also experience?

So far, most of the romantic scenes appear to be in HaiShi's head. I think the wedding scene at the end of the trailer may be just a dream - though at the end of the trailer, FZ seems to be trying to grab on to her. I may be wrong. Anyways, that's my two cents.
