On Love Like the Galaxy: Part 1 Nov 8, 2022
Since I love historical dramas I started this one. Currently I am watching the first episode. So far it is ok and I want to keep going. The grandmother and the aunt are annoying but I don't think the portrayal of their characters are exaggerated. I think it is a cultural thing... The women of my father's family were just like this. Really manipulative, reacting overdramatic and always blaming my mother and seeing her as a threat. You won't see (or just seldom) such a behavior in western families. Non western families are sometimes just like in soap operas...

I saw this the first time when I was in high school- I fell instantly in love with the main leads. Though XQ is dumb as hell she is kind, innocent and just so so funny! And then we have ZS, such an interesting character who albeit his reserved personality is loyal, attentive and sometimes so heartmelting sweet. Now years later - after high school, university and now being a full time working grown up- I watched it again and just like the first time I was laughing like crazy when ZQ tried once again one of her shenanigans and I was fangirling when ZS showed her one of his rare smiles. This show turned out to be my feel good drama. It makes me smile, dream and laugh and the world just feels much better. The OST is amazing, ALL characters are just loveable, the pacing perfect and the chemistry between the leads real, sizzling and just so so perfect. Years later none of the recent adaptions could provide the same magic which the taiwanese version had. Kudos to the whole team to put so much love and passion into this epic and unforgettable masterpiece. Just brilliant.

Finally someone who says this . I truly hated it It's motive wasn't clear They are hiding her toxicity behind…
Yes, I've never felt comfortable whenever I saw the FL together with ML. More than a love interest she does need a therapist... this drama belittles mental issues.

Let him act once in 'Hallyu Bait' drama, he has already been in a lot of dramatic roles and proved his range.May…
Yeah, you are right maybe it will turn out as an success. It was just surprising to see which kind of upcoming projects he chose after his past roles.

If you don't have a clue about science you'll enjoy it...but if you have just a little bit knowledge about atoms and molecules- well then you'll pull your hair out till you are bald.

I gave this a solid 7.5. It was a stellar performance by Lee Jun Ho- this man knows how to act. He was incredible; my heart cried for all the pain he had to endure. It was also refreshing to see such a strong FL with an interesting profession. But I thought the drama was too long; it got a little repetitive and in the last two episodes FL got unreasonable... it was tiring. Also there were too many side couples. But apart from this I really enjoyed it. I wish LJH would choose for the future more challenging roles like in this drama or like the one in the red sleeve. He shouldn't waste his talent for mindless romcoms.

Thank you really much for this well written review. I wholeheartedly agree. You put everything just into the right words that I couldn't find.

The chemistry between ML und SL is non existent, the plot so draggy and the humour kinda cringy. Also it is so disturbing that many fans don't want the original body of Naksu back. The FL is using another girls body to do things like kissing a guy which is nono. It is really surprising that this mediocre series is so hyped - I think it has something to do with the broad reach of Netflix and a not so complex plot aimed at teenagers.

I was always lurking as a guest on MDL but after watching TRS on Viki I HAD to make an account just to tell the world how much I adored this drama!!

It was breathtaking, phenomal and just so so romantic!! Lee Jun Ho (such a hottie and his deep voice omg, so mesmerising! Saw his instagram and thought the historical attire suits this guy so so much better, he was just so perfect for this role!) had such a good chemistry with Lee Se Young. The FEELS omg. The FL was such a strong and smart lady without the typical screaming and overacting, I loved her bride smile instantly! Infact all of the actors made such a wonderful performance- this drama left me as a sobbing mess, the plot wrenched off my heart and I think I will never get over this.

It makes me mad how underrated this drama is - compared to some other recently added dramas which have a rating higher than this, the 8.8 is like an insult. But I guess the plot is just not everyone's cup of tea - it's not a standard romcom with stereotypes everywhere which satisfies the mass, but has actually characters with colours in all shades and with a quite serious and complex plot. This one is more for mature drama watchers.

I salute to the whole team. Thank you really much for this gem- I almost gave up on KDramas after being disappointed again and again. But on the same time TRS set the bar really high- I wonder if I will ever find a romantic KDrama again which turned me into an emotional mess like this one.
