This drama has aged poorly. I watched it for the first time when I was still in high-school and I was so hooked: instead of studying I was watching the drama late night on my bed and trying hard to not crack up. It was a hilarious and heartwarming romcom with steamy kisses (so unsual for a kdrama at that time!) and a strong female lead. The leads were a weird but strangely endearing couple. I would have given this immediately a 10/10. But now as a grown up I rewatched it and and I couldn't ignore all those flaws in the plot, pace (!!!) and their relationship. Also the OST is way too cheezy. Though I have nice memories with this drama I only recommend it if you have enough free time and a high frustration tolerance.
The FL is Im Yoona, and like Junho, she's also an idol-actress who's the center, visual, and lead dancer of Girls…
So I watched the Senorita-performance and I was instantly hooked! The dance was so sensual, full of passion and you could sense that both feel really comfortable with each other. Yoona is also a great dancer (just like LJH). Thanks for the rec; now I can't wait for the drama😄 Did both made this collab because of the upcoming drama? Or was it the opposite and they actually produce this drama because both already know each other?
I also just hope for a charmingly-cliche type romcom like you said. And now I actually think it is a wise decision to choose a more lighthearted drama. LJH's former projects were heavy and for mature viewers. A heartwarming romcom with a star like Yoona will gain him more fans and increase his popularity.
I'm in love with the gorgeous background instrumental music. Sometimes I just rewatch certain scenes for the phenomal music, it is so uplifting and makes me smile. My favorite one is "San, determined" by Noh Hyung Woo (when both leads are running towards each other after the murder attempt). Song is played in a loop!
But I couldn't find the majestic song which is played at the beginning of 2nd ep when San is hunting the tiger (00:55, uploaded on Viki). Can someone help?
I was literally thinking the same. I have watched all zombie related except kingdom
At first everyone thinks the zombies are only active at nighttime but that's wrong. Later it turns out that there is actually another things which impacts the zombies and it is not sunlight but more the weather condition. This was the turning point of the drama
Business proposal was awful for me... so therefore at first I wasn't thrilled to know that LJH has chosen a similar script. But after his challenging roles in TRS and Just Between Lovers he had proven himself and shown that he chooses his projects carefully and tries out various characters. Maybe there is more depth to his new role and only the synopsis sounds bland. So I'm really curious and looking forward to this upcoming drama.
I don't know the FL and only hope that both leads will have a similar sizzling chemistry like LJH had with Lee Se Young. But the comment section is already so toxic, better to not visit it too often during drama airing. Poor FL, drama hasn't even started yet but she has already lost...
Puff Kuo looks so pretty here; she's such a gorgeous actress with a unique look. The OST is amazing; it underlines the sizzling chemistry between the leads and was a real catchy tune. The drama was well done, though it got a little bit draggy at the last couple of episodes. Also the atmosphere was quite negative because of the relationship issues of the FL. I recommend it for more mature viewers.
I agree a bit. Also it felt so american with all these inappropriate scenes. I’m not used to that from kdramas…
Yup and you can watch these dramas with your family without getting uncomfortable. I mean even a pg-13 series from the U.S. often includes sex scenes...
So yeah there are many reasons why Asian dramas are huge success among international viewers. So i don't know why they are changing more and more the core of these series...

Agree, not sure why netflix is "americinizing" KDramas. Maybe to please more international audiences? But then again I'm also from Europe because of the mentioned things I'm fed up with Western series and I prefer more Asian dramas. So I don't know why.

"That's mean they don't believe their drama is ok, powerfull enough to keep audience sitting while watching it."
exactly. Also explicit content desensitises viewers in the long term. I mean because of the lack of full blown sex scenes the romance in Asian dramas is so well done- we appreciate more all those little things like exchanged gazes, hugs, kisses and so which often feel meaningless in Western series.

Yes, sexual content is often just a cheap way to make the viewer keep watching. Unfortunately it is happening more and more also in korean dramas... e.g. the 1st explicit scene with jae joon and his girlfriend on the couch was totally unnecessary. Did it make us understand his behaviour, his intentions or the plot better? No. Just explicit content to shock and keep your eyes glued to the screen.

All of them are well done I like especially Nr.07 (San longing), Nr.20 (San determined), Nr.04 (Across time) and Nr.70&71 (the Moment, Eternity)
