OK but why is no one talking about her role in Liar Game I want to see her with Lee Sang Yoon again 😌

The J-drama is kinda like watching Kakegurui - more exaggerating acting/laughing and homey settings instead of being on a studio set. I didn't read the manga yet either.
I took the k-drama more seriously than that one and I felt more emotions watching this. It's weird 2 of the BGM in this drama were only released years later in 2 different drama OSTs (check out my latest comment on this page for that info)
After seeing that ending I wish there was a season 2. I wonder why they didn't make any more when the J-drama had more than 1 season.

I completed it recently but no romance imo. It feels more like friendship since they just team up/trust each other to win the games. For a short drama like this it'd be better to focus on the plot/games than romance 'cause that's what this show is more about.

I was stuck at ep 8 for a month because I didn't want it to end 😂
I enjoyed this a lot more than the original J-drama, and it felt more genuine than SG with more classic k-drama vibe/good BGM. I feel like rating it higher because of the cast and that Liar OST song... I even edited that song mixing the inst. ver with the whoa chorus parts 'cause that instrumental track is awesome and I'm still obsessed with it 😎

It sucks they didn't release a BGM OST for this drama..
but did anyone else notice 2 of the BGM were released later in different drama OSTs?

I'm still loving that OST song, I even edited that instrumental version with the whoaa parts, I don't think anyone did that before on YT I always liked listening to the instrumental and whoaa parts more than the singing so that's why I edited it 😂

It did feel bittersweet for me IIRC but it'd be major spoilers if I talk about this. I even made comments here about that ending too.. they did try to end it with a happy note as the main leads meet up again in the ending. I guess it's a different interpretation for everyone if it's happy or not.

he was so harsh to her in the beginning eps now he's gotten soft. I did find it amusing when he tried to follow the main leads at the amusement park.

True... after years of waiting it becomes despair. But not everyone in life ends up becoming a good person, so I actually find this aspect kinda realistic.
Someone should fix that calendar.

I thought you had a different username when I first added you 2 months ago so I got confused when you replied to me here. I did not accept the FR because I was suspecting new accounts lately (it's a long story) so I thought this was related to another user on MDL.

I heard of that and tried the 1st ep but I got tired of seeing those high class/cheating/murder mystery shows 😂 Graceful Friends, Mine, High Class.. they all felt like knock offs of Woman of Dignity/SKY Castle/TWOTM who were quite successful in ratings. My Dangerous Wife was fun though, but it's a remake of a J-drama.
I wish they would make more of these older style makjang/melodramas instead. The last 2 I watched were Swallow the Sun & Tree of Heaven (both starring Lee Wan) borrowed those from the library.
I've been keeping up with Second Husband since last August but it got extended to 150 eps recently when it's supposed to be around 120.
Yellow Boots still did better with their justice/revenge plot as I stated on YB's page for further details.

Yeah I did. It was decent, I watched King of Baking Kim Tak Goo after this and they had some similarities (same father, jealous 2nd ML/competition) but for some reason I actually liked the beginning eps of Five Fingers better - the beginning of KTG felt more far-fetched. KTG was also a good addictive drama though, it is more of a hopeful drama with an optimistic ML similar to the one from Ugly Alert (wasn't really a fan of that 'cause I prefer makjang over slice of life)
The last arc of Five Fingers got more melodramatic/crying scenes.. I give it a 7-8 depending on the episodes.

Really? I dropped it in a few eps 'cause I thought it was a SOL show but what is going on in it now.. I want a more accurate synopsis than in MDL.

Hi, sorry to hear that. I hope everything is alright. But I was happy to see you showed up though even if to just sign into MDL. 🙂
Long story short I've been having issues here myself, I was on edge last month ever since reporting a few rude users on the Official Spam thread (support forums) who kept spamming the forums here for at least a year but it was reassuring talking to some people from there who knew the situation. I suspected 2 of them were alts and I'm even getting fake FRs right now for their replacements.
It was fun to gossip about that user in PM/feeds so it kinda made me miss a few other nice users like you who I used to talk to on MDL.

Well Seon Hwa did feel "pathetic" in the beginning for the first 10 eps, I get why people wouldn't like her for being clingy.
But I agree Lee Yoo Ri's character was more badass and YB had less draggy moments, and in SH it feels like her revenge only became possible because of 2 other people - Jae Min and Hae Ran. If she wasn't HR's daughter she'd still be hating on her right now. And SH might've been dead already if those jail mates didn't save her from JK trying to kill her.
But I always see people raving about the romance or how hot JM is, compared to Jung Chan who isn't exactly handsome imo but I really liked his character. That was the only thing I hated about YB, killing off his character when the main leads could've gotten together in the end
