lol I went to watch BET because I thought it was this! I didn’t know it was an American adaption but right when…
bruh they literally rick rolled us with a Japanese version of Never Gonna Give You Up song in the last episode ending credits while she gets away with murder wtf

It really was horrible overall like a parody of cosplayers and unnecessary romance, + race swapping and adding in gay characters for no reason just for DEI I liked the jdrama more than the anime pretty much for the female lead and bgm track https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9Ri_pLSj6Q Plus the ending...
just trying this out 'cause of Seo Joon Young, didn't watch him for so long since The Promise or haven't watched dailies ever since Woman in a Veil aired
I was hooked to this drama but I can agree it became sort of a mess near the end it just turned into some revenge/killing spree lol and the backstory of why they locked Run up seems lame? But there were a few good life quotes during the show. I could relate a lot to one of the things Master Prasat said "You keep sticking to what you're used to. You keep dwelling on your past days that you can't turn time to fix. Do you know that these are your weaknesses?"
just watched a dozen eps but good/addictive enough to fill the void for my last historical drama Empress Ki Dong Yi stands out to me the most as a likable character
Chun Won + Tae Young ending up together feels kinda wrong, like she's forgotten he tried to assault her back in high school and only liking her out of looks? Don't really ship Hwa Ran with Man Won either she was just annoying and kept pestering him to like her back.
I'm hesitant to watch it but there are too many episodes, I'm going to get bored of it, I'm sure!
I put this on hold for a long time but finished it last year it is pretty addictive for the first 38 episodes with an awesome cast then it went downhill after that tbh But still worth the watch
First of all, I will say this was way to long. After about episode 12, I started fast forwarding and then started…
yeah I agree the beginning arc/original cast was the best, it had old school makjang vibes with family themes and plot being emotional/intense that was what drew me into the drama than it becoming a police/prosecutor genre with slight comedy in it suddenly that threw me off. The setting in Seoul kinda makes it generic too compared to it being set in a small town with a homey vibe.
I had this similar feeling of being hooked to the backstories or younger actors more than the adult ones like in Giant or Five Fingers then it simmered down but maybe still early to judge here I just started watching recently it got me outta my kdrama slump, makjang dramas nowadays are more revolved around rich society ladies hanging around which makes it seem superficial or just generic daily drama revenge plots so it makes me miss watching older stuff like this
