I like the original casts better especially Rei but some episodes are a hit or miss here. Liked that parody of horror movie references and ep with suicidal man/evil family, or the manga villain

I liked Kim Sang Joon in City Hunter back in the days so it was cool to see him here.
Jin Ki is the true villain than the mother in law she is just a bitchy woman to deal with than being a threat, despite wanting revenge on her yet treating Han Joon 10x worse even though he's done everything for everyone so far and what revenge had Jin Ki accomplished within 14+ years - nothing yet lol?? Or if Young Hye just chose Han Joon in the first place none of this drama would be happening

Chun Won would've been more interesting/complex as a FL too since she's not the goody goody type, in one scene it seemed unintentionally funny when she even twitches her eyebrow while Young Hye comforts Baek Won in their room at home. It's a shame the actress died I think she was pretty (or even looks mixed imo). In one episode she wore a rabbit sweater that looks so similar to one I got from the thrift store in recent years 🤔

Ep 8 - if only that brat didn't steal the fish from the box their smuggling plan would've worked perfectly and no one would've died

wasn't that into the first season until the last few episodes now I'm actually hyped lmao

The episode with Kouga's backstory training as a kid made me cry when his dad hugged him telling him to be strong 😭 and that BGM playing

I liked how episodic it was it got me hooked and crushing on Rei too 😍

Same here I was supposed to watch it last year but got lazy. I'm back and addicted to this now when I've been feeling drama slumps! Nothing really catches my attention anymore nowadays I miss these good old dramas 🥺
last time I got hooked to a historical kdrama it was Gu Family Book few years ago

El Temur and Danashiri died too fast/painless I wanted to see their reactions to that son being Seung Nyang's. After executing this bitch, another evil one just replaces her 😂
The drama kinda went downhill after their deaths I don't like how previous allies are acting like enemies now, SN deserves to be Empress more than anyone so far.

My most hated villains are Yeom Byung Soo and Danashiri 🔥
Empress Dowager is just some useless character who hangs around and smirks/laughs at people (I like the actress herself though) the whole cast of this drama is perfect, too bad there's not that many instrumental BGM tracks in the OST since there's way more than that.
For some reason I prefer viki subs over kocowa's.

ONK ep 1 was good but the rest of the show just felt like typical school idol anime, the killer plot was the main thing that motivated me to watch it but they still didn't even mention him again in the 1st season.
The closest thing to makjang/revenge plot is Gankutsuou which I watched long time ago.
Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin was also overall mature anime although it had a few rape scenes
